			<description>I found this recipe in a Nancy Clark Sports Nutrition Guidebook, but had to change it up for a vegetarian and a lactose-intolerant person! An easy and quick version of pasta so you can have some variety with the pasta! Finished with a salad, its a great, well-rounded meal! You can also add extra veggies and spices as you want (I like to add some garlic and red pepper flakes). You can also add cheese on top- I didn't so it would be lactose-free (although you can add goat cheese for lactose free as well!).

			<description>As mentioned in my other GF pizza dough recipe (Recipe #402987 #402987), this is from &amp;quot;Healthy Bread in 5 Minutes a Day&amp;quot; by Jeff Hertzberg &amp;amp; Zoe Francois. They seem to favor their olive bread recipe for pizza, but I've found both outstanding.

There are a couple of things that set this apart from other pizza dough recipes: this is a no-knead recipe, so it's easy on your hands (especially important if you also have arthritis) and it can be refrigerated for use in other recipes (bread, crackers) for about 7 days. I don't have experience in freezing it, but will update this later with info (or perhaps other zaar readers can comment ...).

This recipe makes enough dough for 8 12-14&amp;quot; pizzas -- you need about 1/2 pound per pizza. Doing a little math, if you want 3&amp;quot; mini-pizzas (the size of a bagel or English muffin), you'll get about 16 mini-pizzas from a 1/2 pound lump of dough ... or about 128 from a full recipe! According to Jeff and Zoe, this recipe is easily doubled or halved. 

The prep time is estimated assuming you have made the dough previously (i.e, it is refrigerated and you are starting at step 9). If you are making the dough from scratch for immediate use (i.e., starting from step 1), the prep time is about 2 1/2 hours additional, of which only 1/2 hour is active chef prep.

This recipe is adapted from a traditional Aloo (cauliflower) curry.
I've done quite a bit of tweaking and experimenting to make it tasty without the oil / butter / nuts / etc that are normally in Indian curries.

For anyone wishing to experiment further:
- the small amount of oil is necessary to cook the spices (otherwise it just won't taste right).
- the saute-ing and roasting adds a lot of extra flavour without any extra calories.
- the tomato / onion / carrot paste adds thickness to the curry
- the carrot adds sweetness
- the stock &amp;amp; spices all add flavour without calories. Feel free to experiment with different spices.
- the long simmering is important to add depth and subtlety to the flavour.
- if the curry tastes bitter check: Did you burn any of the spices? (turmeric especially burns easily if you fried it, and the garam masala step can be quite tricky). Did you cut the ends &amp;amp; skin off the onion? Did the onion get sauted?

Note that the flour measurement calls for it to be spooned into the cup and leveled off--this will give you a different amount of flour in the cup than the dip and sweep method and noticeably effect the texture of the crust.
MAKE AHEAD: Store in an airtight container at room temperature if you are serving them within a day. 			<description>I live in Florida and it is difficult to make a non-runny blueberry pie due to the humidity, but this recipe is perfect.  I got this recipe through trial and error of 5 different published recipes.  The filling is dense enough so that little loose liquid is present, but you still feel like you are biting into whole berries when you eat it.  This fixed my problem of getting a pool of liquid in the bottom of my pie shell.  I recommend using only fresh blueberries.   
Use a 9-inch deep-dish pie plate.  Regarding the crust, the store-bought frozen crusts did not work properly for me.  They either didn't bake on the bottom or resulted in an overflow of pie liquid into the bottom of my oven.   I recommend the Pillsbury brand rolled pie crust dough found in the refrigerator section of the grocery store (by the biscuits/crescent rolls).  These bake nicely, are easy to work with, and have an appropriate amount of moisture. The mixing technique of the mixer allows the cream cheese and butter to really combine and become light and airy. This results in a flaky, crisp, but tender, finished product.
The vigorous beating of the butter and cream cheese before adding the flour creates a light, layered dough similar to puff pastry. Rolling the dough in confectioners' sugar to give a slight glaze to the finished pastry and helps balance the richness of the dough with the sweet filling. Make sure the dough is well chilled or it will not roll out properly.
*NOTE: In general, it is not a good idea to use salted butter in baked goods. However, because of the lack of liquid in rugelach dough, salted butter is the only way to get the salt evenly distributed. 			<description>This recipe for vegetarian-friendly, alcoholic almond gelatin jigglers (think Jello Jigglers meets Jello shots) combines vanilla vodka, uses seaweed-derived gelatin called agar-agar (as opposed to nondescript gelatin, which is likely to be animal-derived), and reduces paper/plastic waste (no cups). The ratio of water to alcohol is 1:1, so these jigglers are quite alcoholic! For better taste/less alcohol, you might consider reducing the amount of alcohol to 1 1/2 cups and increasing either the amount of water or milk to 2 1/2 cups (I would increase the milk, for more body and color). Of course, it's all a matter of personal taste and preference.
