			<description>I like to use this when I reach for salt, So I lower my intake of salt and kick up the flavor of what I cook.
I used home grown herbs that I dried whole. Leaves that are loosely packed into measuring cups. So if using store bought do take note the amounts of the whole herbs would be a lot less. I guesstimate my 2/3's. Great to season any game, roast beef or roast poultry. Season roast veggies, stuffing, rice or potatoes. How about a touch on your eggs.

			<description>This sticky, spicy chicken curry is deliciously sweet and packs just the right amount of heat. It is to be scooped up with warm, chewy naan, then licked off of fingers.Your first step is to hunt down some curry leaves. Their flavour is irreplaceable in this dish - a bit nutty, warm, and citrusy. Used a lot in South Indian cooking, they have nothing to do with curry powder which is a blend of spices.Start by browning the chicken in a heavy skillet - make sure the oil is good and hot and the chicken has been patted dry before you put it in the pan. Dont flip it until it releases easily - if it is sticking, leave it - it will tear if you try and turn it before it is ready. Next, cook the onions gently over low heat for about 10 minutes to coax out the sweetness. Then add the spices to the pan to saute before the liquid is added. These three steps have a big flavour impact.
As far as curries go, the ingredient list is very short. Which makes it a great curry for beginners, if you can track down some curry leaves at an Indian grocer. 			<description>I blend fresh organic carrots, mango, onions, garlic, and a hint of lime juice with the Habanero. The result is a pepper sauce that harmonizes heat and flavor without the overpowering pungency found in traditional vinegar-based hot sauces. Creating a spicy but not overpowering sauce that allows you to spice your food without drowning out the original flavor.
 The capsaicin is not only hot on the tongue, it is brutal on the eyes or in cuts on your fingers.  When preparing peppers you can wear rubber gloves to protect your hands and keep your hands clean.  capsaicin has a way of staying on your hands even after washing.  Safety glasses will help you avoid splashes or touching your eyes while cutting and cleaning peppers.
 The steam from boiling vinegar is very strong.  Avoid breathing it. 
Cooking your hot sauce will help blend the flavors together, break down pieces of solid ingredients and pasteurize the sauce.  It is an important step which should only be skipped if the sauce will be used up completely within 1 week. 			<description>This is absolutely DIVINE!  The texture is smooth and somewhere between a chocolate cake a chocolate truffle.  If you love chocolate, you'll love this as its just out of this world.  A good substitute for those who don't like Christmas pudding, though I bet everyone will go off Christmas pudding once they taste this!  Double or Triple the quantities for a larger party, a small slice is usually enough as its very rich.  The brandy is optional and comes through more as a subtle flavour than anything else but feel free to add more to the cream if you prefer a stronger flavour (I do).  If I make this during the summer I would leave out the brandy. 			<description>These relatively healthy absolutely delicious chocolate chip cookies are a gluten-free adaptation of my favorite chocolate chip cookie. The raisins keep the cookies moist but they are hardly noticeable. It is easiest if you use a pre-made brown rice flour mix (Food Philosopher&amp;reg;) but here is the breakdown of those ingredients*:
1 1/2 cups brown rice flour
1/3 cup potato starch
8 teaspoons tapioca flour
1/2 teaspoon tapioca flour.

			<description>My friends and family are always getting on me to publish my recipes; I don't really use them, nor do I regularly remember even what I put into my dishes. I took this dish to a vegan potluck last night, and it disappeared in seconds. This morning I was awoken at gun point (exaggerated for dramatic effect) to post this recipe.... So, I thought it wise of me to comply. This recipe takes me about an hour of prep time, and about an hour to cook. There are shortcuts one may take to cut down on the prep time, but the first time, I suggest leaving ample time to prepare. I have used a variety of nuts for this recipe, all working out well (this last time I ran out of sesame seeds, so I used 2 tbsp of my tamari roasted pumpkin seeds, and 1 tbsp of raw pecans). I also like to make my dishes gluten free for potlucks, so I used &amp;frac12; cup of blue corn meal, and &amp;frac12; garbanzo flour in place of the whole wheat pastry flour, the taste was amazing, but a little more crumbly then whole wheat pastry flower. 			<description>Oh my gosh these are AWESOME!  This can of pineapple on the counter was calling to me, and my husband can't eat wheat, so if I make pancakes they're gonna have oats in them.  Plus, the Tahitian Pancakes came up on Heroes in the past week or so, so that's on my mind.
I combined two different recipes that I found online, one for pineapple pancakes and one for oatmeal pancakes.  Neither one is like this new version though.  SO AWESOME!  
One last thing, I used coconut milk instead of cow milk, since my husband is also on this non-dairy kick.

			<description>We make this every year before Thanksgiving and put it in the freezer in three or four containers so we have some to take to every holiday meal. You can adjust the sugar to taste, and I often don't add as much as is called for, and sometimes even leave the jello out completely, especially if I'm making a half batch that I'm not going to freeze. 			<description>This is a perennial favorite for Thanksgiving! It's adapted from a recipe for Spiced Baked Apples by Lorraine Chausse on allrecipes. The pears make a really lovely presentation for dinner parties and can cook while you eat dinner.
