An easy, creamy mac and cheese recipe for the crock pot. No need to precook the noodles.
Edited to add: I make this at least once a month without any burning or sticky mess. I know all Crock pots are different, because I have one that is "hotter" than the other. Perhaps a "hotter" crock pot is not suitable for this recipe. -- posted by *Parsley*

My Very Best Crock Pot Macaroni and Cheese

This is one of the things I make which has been the most requested. My mother always used to and will again nearly beg for me to make this and bring it over especially if she is baking a ham. Nobody has ever complained and this is one of my high comfort foods. I will eat even bad macaroni and cheese! At school everyone threw theirs away while I was gobbling it down! Ah, no.....I wasn't one of the most popular kids in school! The onion in this must be grated as it almost melts in. This is most definitely NOT a slimmer's dish but yummy when you need it! It also is not based upon a white sauce and does not have a smooth sauce but is just good. Most of the time nobody knows it is the onion making the difference and always ask why it is better than their own. -- posted by Miss Elizabeth

Paula Deen Crock Pot Macaroni and Cheese

I saw Paula Deen make this recipe on her Food Network program. I was looking for a really creamy macaroni and cheese recipe, and this is it! I changed it a bit by omitting the eggs (the original recipe calls for three) and boiling the macaroni for six minutes instead of seven, so it doesn't get mushy while cooking in the Crockpot. I also shortened the cooking time from three to two and a half hours. Perfection! -- posted by GiddyUpGo

Crock Pot Mac & Cheese

I never had Mac & Cheese like this until I moved to the south. This is my son's great grandmother's recipe. This Mac & Cheese doesn't turn out creamy like kraft, so if you want creamy don't try this. It turns out more like baked Mac & Cheese.I'm really not sure how many servings this makes, but it's a good bit. -- posted by embutterfly75

Curry Mac

This recipe was created by a request for curry but a "not the same old thing" kind of curry. Cheeseburger Mac and Mac and Cheese are popular here in the US so I decided to combine the curry with the macaroni noodles. Great flavor, great heat (especially if you use the hot curry sauce mix). My family prefers the Golden Curry brand as well as the Vermont Curry brand sauce mixes. -- posted by Celticevergreen

Macaroni & Cheese Florentine

Found this in a crock pot recipe cookbook somewhere. It doesn't actually contain any cheese, but the sauce has the same consistency of homemade macaroni and cheese, so I think that's where the name came from. Pretty good recipe as is, but excellent with a container of cottage cheese mixed in! -- posted by Burgundy Damsel

Got this from a friend and posting for safe keeping! Note: for the elbow macaroni, I would cook them shy of Al Dente; about 6 - 7 minutes. I'm also thinking that some dry mustard and / or paprika would add some good flavor to this Mac & Cheese! -- posted by Virginia Cherry Blossom

Yummy!! Free up your oven and cook this classic dish in your crock pot! I made this is my taller older, 4 qt. crock pot rather than my new larger oval shaped one that tends to run hot. This could also be baked in the oven if necessary. -- posted by KPD
