Cooking Light Magazine, October 2009 edition. They served it with saut&amp;eacute;ed zuchini: heat a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add 1 T canola oil to pan; swirl to coat. Add 1 lb thinly sliced zucchini to: saut&amp;eacute; 4 minutes or until zucchini is lightly browned, stirring occasionally. The only change I made was omitting the bell pepper because I didn't have any on hand and adding a little extra celery instead. You could always try the bell pepper if you'd like! I also sprinkled some extra Cheddar cheese on top. 			<description>My grandmother got this recipe from a friend years ago and has been making it frequently ever since. It is my FAVORITE quiche recipe. I'm not a huge fan of crusts since I love the flavors of the quiche itself and feel that the crust just gets in the way. The Bisquick makes its own sort of crust anyways. You can used leftover ham pieces or crumbled bacon. Either way is delicious. Sauteing the onions in a little butter or oil first is key to a good flavor. 			<description>Wonderful for a weekend brunch. My whole family absolutely loves it. Lots of flavor from the onions, chives, and bell pepper. There are lots of variations of this recipe but I like that this one uses milk instead of sour cream or cream cheese which are high in fat and this one still has just as much flavor. It came from Debbie Macomber's Cedar Cove Cookbook that a friend got me for Christmas. I only switch the whole milk to 1 % and keep the skillet at medium-low instead of low when making the sauce. Can easily be doubled to serve more people. When I do, I use a 12 oz package of bacon and a 1 lb 14 oz bag of hash browns since that's what they usually come in anyways. Also, the easiest way to snip the chives is with kitchen scissors. So much faster than with a knife! Here's one gleaned from Gourmet magazine, Nov. 2006 via Epicurious. Enjoy! This is one big casserole, but at the restaurant it was in individual dishes. You may add the cheese between each layer or just use it to top, or leave it out if you prefer! On the  website, this has 92 wonderful reviews! this is even better the next day. You can half this recipe and cook in a 9x9&amp;quot; pan. This is so good, serve to company and for the holidays. This recipe calls for slicing raw squash but to make it easier to cut, microwave for 3-5 minutes, or lightly steam or bake and then cut in pieces. I do change it slightly for our tastes, by using either a mild cheddar or marble in place of the swiss.  I also go the 'crustless' route.  If you add extra mushrooms and onions (like I often do), I suggest putting them, along with the cheeses in the pie plate first. Cooked chicken is mixed with smoky, hot chorizo sausage and folded through a chipotle chilli tomato sauce..........sounds too hot?! I then added some sweet corn, sour cream and a jar of mild salsa to calm it down a bit, but please DO use hot salsa if you like a little spice in your life! I topped this with a dollop of sour cream and dressed it with chopped jalapeno peppers, parsley and a little chopped coriander (cilantro) for a perfect cold weather lunch. I devised this recipe especially for the Two for One Leftovers event in the Cooking Photo's Forum. Please adjust the chilli powder to your own requirements. I like spicy food but Malcolm does not, so I topped mine with loads of chopped jalapeno peppers and a sprinkling of chipotle chilli powder!! NB: I used Spanish chorizo sausage, which is cured; if you are using fresh chorizo sausage, it needs to be browned beforehand.(I made this original recipe with leftovers from KissKiss's Recipe #368069.
