Cheesy Layered Shrimp Spread

This is so easy to make and can be made hours in advance just cover and chill until ready to serve, really you can use a much shrimp as desired, but I find that three cans is plenty to use for the middle, you could use more for the top if desired ---serving amounts are only estimated, cooking time is one hour chilling time, this is *very* good! :) -- posted by KITTENCAL

Curried Shrimp With Cucumber Vinaigrette

From a food magazine. I don't know which one since it was before I started with Zaar and didn't keep track. The cool cucumber vinaigrette balances the sweetness and mild heat of the curried shrimp. The recipe has this cook's note: viniagrette and shrimp can be prepared 1 day ahead of serving and chilled separately, covered. -- posted by Oolala

Chipotle Dip With Baby Shrimp

I originally found this recipe in Bon Appetit, many years ago and have adapted it to suit my needs. If you don't like to much heat in your foods, I would start off easy on the chipotle and work yourself up--the full 1-1/2 T has quite the bite to it! This would be an easy recipe to cut in half for a smaller crowd. The shrimp has to be boiled/prepared before making this recipe, so adjust your time and efforts accordingly.

Terrific Crab Dip (Warm Flavorful Crab Dip)

This is really "terrific crab dip". I have made this on many occassions. Every time I go to a candle party, a jewelry party, or any kind of home retail party, I am asked to bring this... It's warm & cheesy and oh so good. FYI- you can use fresh lump, frozen, or canned crabmeat... You can even substitute with imitation crab meat or shrimp in a pinch... If you want to add a little kick to this, you can stir in red pepper flakes before baking... -- posted by BlondieItaliana

Creamy Shrimp, Spinach and Goat Cheese Dip

Adapted from a recipe from Firefly Farms, a maker of truly superior artisanal cheeses in Maryland. The cooking time is for thawing the spinach and chilling the dip. You can use reduced fat mayo and you can certainly spice it up some more, but I like the clean fresh taste this has. -- posted by Chef Kate

Deviled Shrimp With Bacon Dip

I found this recipe in the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, as part of their special section of Super Bowl party recipes. It is originally from "Great Party Dips," by Peggy Fallon (Wiley, $16.95). It is an absolutely superb blend of shrimp, bacon, and cream cheese, with a bit of a kick provided by horseradish, cayenne, green onions, and parmesan cheese. Serve with crackers or pita chips. Great stuff. -- posted by Lparmoc

Centenary Shrimp Dip

This recipe is from the Centenary Church cookbook from my hometown in Winston-Salem, NC (my beloved copy is tattered and worn but treasured because it was my Nana's). It was submitted by Mrs. Charles Van Meter and my family has evolved it over the years. We use about 1/2 - 1 lb. of fresh boiled shrimp although my brother sometime uses 2 cans of shrimp for convenience. Prep/cook time depends on type of shrimp used. Best served with potato chips or buttery crackers. -- posted by Roswell Recipe Reader

Warm Lobster Dip (Or Crabmeat, or Sea Legs, or Baby Shrimp)

This is a pretty tasty recipe for warm lobster dip. Again, as in title, you could substitute with crabmeat, sea legs, or tiny baby shrimp if you like. I happen to mostly use my "leftover" lobster tail or claw meat when I make this. I have a great 1 qt. chafing server with a tea light beneath it that I usually prepare this in. Serve with pita chips, crackers, baguette slices, or vegetables. You can make this thicker or thinner depending on the amount of half & half and sour cream you use - prepare as you like. -- posted by BlondieItaliana

Shrimp Dip

This is so easy and tastes so good. I had lost this recipe years ago and just found it on Cooks.Com. I'm guessing at the weight of the jar of shrimp cocktail. It comes in a jar with a lid that you pop off and is found in the fresh seafood dept. at the grocery store. I believe the brand is Sau-Sea and are individual serving size. It is best to make the day before for the flavors to meld together. -- posted by Mainely Debbie

Easy Shrimp Dip

This recipe is one I have been making for years...easy to double too. It is always a hit and the short list of ingredients is surprising to all who request it. I serve this with potato chips because the salt seems to bring the flavors out but any crackers will do as well.
