Brent's Sausage Mushroom Dip

Got this recipe from my friend, Ashley, who makes it all the time for her husband. It's an easy dip to make that tastes great. For a shortcut, heat everything in the microwave and then put in the crockpot just to keep warm. Serve warm with Fritos or tortilla chips. -- posted by Texas Aggie Mom

Green Chili Guacamole

My standby guac recipe has bacon in it and I needed to whip something up for a BBQ that was hosted by a vegetarian. Not wanting to run to the store I raided the pantry and decided 'what the hey', I'll see what I can come up with. I couldn't have been happier with the result. Even a guy at the cookout that was from Mexico said it was better than his grandmothers. Now that's a compliment. I do recommend leaving it in the fridge overnight for best results. Enjoy!!! -- posted by Bekah49036

Seven Layer Guacamole Dip

This dip resembles a Taco Dip, but is much creamier and flavorful. I received many positive reviews on it, from the attendees at our last party. It keeps on calling to you...you can't have it just once! You can also use 14 oz of ready made guacamole paste from your deli, instead of making your own.

Rossann's Kentucky Beer Cheese

This recipe comes from my stepmom. Beer cheese is a tradition in Kentucky with some of the most famous brands coming from the Central Kentucky region. This recipe is no exception. It uses velveeta unlike the traditional recipe I am use to, but it is much easier than having to blend it forever in the food processor or blender. A must have for any Derby party or tailgate!
Shellie's Chunky Homemade Guacamole

This is a recipe for guacamole that I created after discovering that I actually like guacamole after 42 years! Since then, I have been making it at least once a week without fail. I am addicted! I love my recipe because I like my guacamole with some texture, spicy, and with some cilantro and lime flavors. It doesn't take long at all and I don't measure out my ingredients, so you will just have to make yours to suit your own taste. The number of avacadoes is tricky...the sizes of them vary greatly and it also depends on how much you want to make. You can add more jalapeno to make it spicier, or leave some out to make it milder. Enjoy! -- posted by Chef #1307787

Cream Cheese & Deviled Ham Dip / Spread With a Twist

This is a super recipe for a get together. There are other ham dips but the extra flavor with the wine, dry mustard, garlic, onion and pickle, yes, pickle make it an intense flavor. It isn't for everyone especially if you don't like wine. Try it at your next party or event. Pair with all different crackers or slather on french bread. Enjoy!
Pumpkin Fluff Dip

This is a Midwestern classic apparently-- a school chum from Iowa told me about this recipe that's popular around fall and early winter, from having leftover cans of pumpkin from stocking up on sale but not wanting to make any more pumpkin pies-- they're popular for high teas, luncheon spreads, Superbowl parties, Thanksgiving and Christmas, or sitting on your can watching The Golden Girls. :D Since I didn't want to use actual marshmallow Fluff...this is my fluffy adaptation of this recipe that came out HEAVENLY. I could eat a drum of this stuff and not get bored of it! One 15 or 16 oz can of pumpkin works, or you can measure out 2 cups from a 28-oz can. You can also use 2 tsp pumpkin pie spice for the spicing but it tends to be overpowering, the subtler cinnamon and nutmeg is better. -- posted by the80srule

Rockin' Hummus

I've tried a lot of hummus recipes but this is the first one that came close to Sabra - my favorite brand. I adapted this recipe from one I found online at a blog by Jonah Lisa. She states that it is the order in which the ingredients are combined that makes the hummus so creamy in the end. I don't know how true that is but I follow her method and always end up with great stuff that rivals my favorite brand. I use my blender but I'm sure a food processor would work great too.
