			<description>Bravo to Love2Eats Peanut Brittle in a Jiffy #58383 - it got me started, but with the adjustments for my higher powered microwave  and some flavor changes I thought I should write my own recipe.  I can not say how much Love2Eats note about having everything measured out and ready to go was a life saver.  I use an 8 cup pyrex measuring bowl with a handle as this mixture bubbles up and gets very hot (bowl gets very hot too) - it is MOLTEN SUGAR- if your work area is not right next to your sink - have a bowl of ice water in case  of burns. THIS RECIPE IS FOR A 1200 WATT MICROWAVE. 			<description>No candied fruits!  I made a similar fruitcake last year and was anxious to make it again as it was delicious.  It has just enough batter to hold all the luscious ingredients together. I searched everywhere and finally found this which is really close.  I use a silicone tube pan.  I've fallen in love with the silicone bakeware. Recipes never stick! This came originally from the Better Homes and Gardens Annual Recipes, 2008. 
I substituted butter for the shortening to avoid trans fats, and walnuts for Brazil nuts for taste. Last year I bought the bags of dried blueberries and cherries separately...a little pricey.  But this year I found a mixed bag of dried berries at Costco.   This was a favorite of my Dad's Cousin Sue, who we called Aunt Sue, her cookies where welcomed and enjoyed by everyone.

			<description>I included them on my Christmas cookie platters this year, and everyone made a point of telling me how good they were.  I found the recipe on the web.  The raisins were my idea.  Dried cranberries would be as good, if not much, much better.  Or leave them out completely.  Both light and dark brown sugar work beautifully, although I think I like the dark brown sugar version just a tiny tad more. I used good-quality white chocolate chips mixed with about 1/2 teaspoon of shortening for the drizzle.  And if you can, use freshly ground nutmeg.  Also, you can use up to 3/4 cup raisins or dried cranberries.  Any way you try it, I think you'll love them. 			<description>I live in Florida and it is difficult to make a non-runny blueberry pie due to the humidity, but this recipe is perfect.  I got this recipe through trial and error of 5 different published recipes.  The filling is dense enough so that little loose liquid is present, but you still feel like you are biting into whole berries when you eat it.  This fixed my problem of getting a pool of liquid in the bottom of my pie shell.  I recommend using only fresh blueberries.   
Use a 9-inch deep-dish pie plate.  Regarding the crust, the store-bought frozen crusts did not work properly for me.  They either didn't bake on the bottom or resulted in an overflow of pie liquid into the bottom of my oven.   I recommend the Pillsbury brand rolled pie crust dough found in the refrigerator section of the grocery store (by the biscuits/crescent rolls).  These bake nicely, are easy to work with, and have an appropriate amount of moisture. As the name indicates, the cake is generally prepared, presented, and garnished so as to look like a log ready for the fire.

The traditional b&amp;ucirc;che is made from a G&amp;eacute;noise or other sponge cake, generally baked in a large, shallow Swiss roll pan, frosted, rolled to form a cylinder, and frosted again on the outside. The most common combination is a basic yellow sponge cake, frosted and filled with chocolate buttercream; however, many variations on the traditional recipe exist, possibly including chocolate cakes, ganache and espresso or otherwise-flavored frostings and fillings. B&amp;ucirc;ches are often served with a portion of one end of the cake cut off and set on top of the cake or protruding from its side to resemble a chopped off branch, and bark-like texture is often produced in the buttercream for further realism. 			<description>I had never had Bread Pudding before I went to Vegas and had it at a buffet.  Well, I fell in love.  My obsession use to be chocolate, but since I've lost 52 lbs. I gave it up.  NOW, my obsession has become THIS version of Bread Pudding.  ( I have to be careful how much of this I make, so I don't gain all of that chocolate weight back!)    I found this recipe on the &amp;quot;Momswhothink.com&amp;quot; website and I hope it is ok to post it here.  This is true comfort food.  Do not over bake or you will lose the eggy texture of the bread.  The cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla are the key ingredients to the rich flavor of this dessert.  I use french bread, and have even used dry bread that has been sitting around a few days. I even used wheat french bread once and it turned out great!  The sauce is more a vanilla, butter, cream sauce.  I usually make about 4 times (yes, that is what I said!) in order to smother the bread pudding.   One recipe of it is just not enough.   Ummm.  Make the sauce while the pudding is baking and you will save time.  You can also use a Hard Sauce if you would rather.  (recipe # 102574 sounds like a good one.)  Even if you have never tried Bread Pudding, be daring, and try it.  I use to turn my nose up at it, and now, I cannot wait for an excuse to make it, again and again.
