			<description>This dark, rich, chocolate cake is perfect with coffee on a lazy afternoon or as a special treat for a birthday cake. It has no eggs or milk so is ok for Vegans. Top it with your favourite frosting, or just sprinkle powdered sugar on it to 'finish' it for the table.I love the recipe as I alway seem to be out of milk and eggs, so this recipe suits my house!

NOTE: 2 variations to this recipe:
1) Use 1 bag of semi-sweet chocolate chips instead of 4 squares baking chocolate and reduce the sugar to 3/4 of a cup down from 2 cups.

I got the idea off of another website that used chocolate pudding but I thought using vanilla and dying it orange would be really cool since the pudding and oreos together would be traditional Halloween colors. This recipe can be easily divided in half and so on. For the pudding I used the kind that you cook verses the instant. I think the cooked pudding has a much nicer and thicker consistancy. The amount below for the oreos is a guesstimate because it wouldn't let me put down 1 large package of oreos but either way just one regular package of oreos crushed is what you need. 			<description>This sounds strange - in German it's even stranger, it's just &amp;quot;peat&amp;quot; (Torf). But I thought nobody would like the sound of that, so I added the &amp;quot;sweet&amp;quot;. In fact this is a recipe which I got from a Thuringian lady who told me this was a traditional christmas treat in her family. Whether it's originally Thuringian I don't know; I only found a swiss variety of it called &amp;quot;chocolate peat&amp;quot; (Schoggi Torf). It reminds me of brownies but differs from them in that it's only made with chocolate, not with cocoa powder. It's very dense and rich and tastes fantastic, and I'm really curious what the calculation will tell us about the energy... So, the patient information leaflet says that you have to cut it into SMALL cubes, much smaller than brownies, in order not to overdose it. For risks and side effects DON'T ask your doctor!

She doubles the frosting recipe to frost the entire cake, because Garth likes extra frosting, but one recipe will frost the tops of the layers and do the trick just fine- unless you are Garth! 			<description>This is absolutely DIVINE!  The texture is smooth and somewhere between a chocolate cake a chocolate truffle.  If you love chocolate, you'll love this as its just out of this world.  A good substitute for those who don't like Christmas pudding, though I bet everyone will go off Christmas pudding once they taste this!  Double or Triple the quantities for a larger party, a small slice is usually enough as its very rich.  The brandy is optional and comes through more as a subtle flavour than anything else but feel free to add more to the cream if you prefer a stronger flavour (I do).  If I make this during the summer I would leave out the brandy. 			<description>My nana used to make this cake and now it's a favorite of my family and friends.  What makes this cake unique is it starts with a box of yellow cake mix.  It's got just the right amount of chocolate so it's not overly sweet.  Additional chocolate chips can be added for serious chocolate lovers.  It's great served warm as the chocolate is gooey but I think it gets even better the next day. I'm totally guessing at the yield. Zaar is listing the calorie and fat content (mostly fron the nuts) for a dozen cookines. Dividing 12 into that amount breaks down to each cookie having 33.5 calories. I made one major change to the recipe; melting the chocolate and incorporating it into the batter instead of using them as chunks in the cookie.  I searched here and found two recipes for these cookies each giving credit to Martha Stewart's website.  Both used chunks of chocolate rather than incorporating in the batter.
