A Sugar Free Punch that a Type 1 diabetic could drink all day long without having to take extra insulin. People with diabetes will just love you for thinking of THEM! Especially any diabetic child like mine. Do you realize a Type 1 diabetic can eat only at certain times of the day and only a certain amount of carbohydrates? This is a classy little way to serve after-dinner liqueur and will make your guests at any type of gathering feel special. These are expecially good with Amaretto or Kahlua, in my humble opinion. What a nice (and EASY!) gift to give at the holidays or any time of the year! Uses dry ingredients (like powdered instant iced tea mix) that are easily found at the grocery store. My friend Lorraine B gave me this wonderful recipe when I was looking for an interesting hostess gift. One of the best things about this recipe is that it only takes one week to infuse, as opposed to up to a month that I've seen in other recipes. I actually made a quadruple recipe and got 6 bottles to give as gifts (I kept one for myself, of course!). At last night's preliminary tasting (2 hours after bottling) I can tell you that this is a very refreshing tipple! I'm also going to try this with oranges this winter. -- posted by Mirj
