Flavored Coffee

I found this recipe on Obesity Help.
Champagne Jello Shots

this recipe makes ***1 batch*** of only 1 color. A cute sophisticated jello shot...great for intimate dinner parties or new years eve! make any flavor your heart desires. I usually double the recipe and make 2 different colors and get a small cookie cutter like a circle or star ect....I alternate the colors by stacking them on top of each other in a little bit bigger than a shot glass (disposable) or clear mini cups I stack about 3-4 in each. everyone seems to love em' -- posted by Chef #572376

The Adjustable Rate

An interesting cocktail that looks like a great one from Barnonedrinks dot com. Original contributer was-- Bartender: Derek O’Neill Butler, Prime One Twelve Restaurant, Miami, FL. I interpretted the amounts as Zaar doesn't allow "parts" (I may update this once I make it). Here is the original for those who want to change it:

5 part(s) Pineapple Juice Fresh
1 part(s) Cruzan Black Cherry Rum
1 part(s) Hornitos Plata Tequila
1 splash(es) Orange Juice
1/2 part(s) DeKuyper Tropical Pineapple Schanpps

The website blurb made me laugh...maybe this will explain the drink as well:
"What once seemed a bargain came to claim its dues. Adjustable rates soar. The housing market plummets. Buyers beware!" -- posted by Mommy Diva

Years ago, I discovered this wonderful cognac-based drink with a distinctive French origin. It has only two ingredients, and I have experimented with different brands until I discovered what combination I preferred the most--but do experiment on your own to find out what brands you prefer.
Kiwi, Strawberry and Grape Juice.

I got this recipe from 'The top 100 juices' by Sarah Owen, published by Lifetime Distributors, Castle Hill, Australia.
Sarah Owen says "All three fruits in this juice provide a massive infection-fighting boost of vitamin C and can help to shorten the duration of a cold. The kiwi fruit a also contain lutein, a phytonutrient known to reduce the risk of cancer, heart disease and eye disease. Both strawberries and grapes are high in ellagic acid, which neutralizes carcinogens. The tannins, flavones and active compounds in the grapes combine to make them energizing and strengthen the cell walls of blood vessels"
You could make more than one serving, and serve with lemonade and ice in a punch bowl for a party if desired.
I haven't made this yet, as I don't have a juicer, but if I ever get one, this will be the first juice that I make.
Enjoy! :) -- posted by TALIA #3

Lemon Soup--Almost an Aperitif

Now that summer is past, I have found this most refreshing welcoming drink for next year (or even now). It is served in a champagne glass when you arrive at the Levy-East Home (a bed and breakfast in Natchitoshes, Louisiana on the Cane River). Don't let the name fool you...it reminds me of a liquified lemon icebox pie. It can even be used as an opening course. It is very refreshing and good. -- posted by Bayou Andy

Senora Lopez's Sangria

I got this recipe from my Spanish teacher, who was from Bogota, in the early 1970s. Because of the long chilling time, the fruit gets kind of funny-looking, but it's wonderful to eat when the sangria is gone! I'm guessing at the number of servings. Prep time does not include chilling time. -- posted by Chocolatl

Lime in the Coconut Jello Shots (With Coconut Milk)

This is a fun & tasty treat to serve at parties. I found this on another web site when I was looking for jello shooters for our Hawaiian ethnic party. It didn't say what size of jello pkgs to use, I used small ones & for coconut milk I estimated @ 13 oz. I liked these because they weren't quite as sweet as other jello shooters & smooth tasting with the coconut milk. -- posted by Mustang Sally 54269

(Christmas) Cocktail

In 1983 it was published in a Swedish food magazine. In this last number of the magazine it was published again and I remember that I tried it out way back when. It is a nice appetizer, not only for the holidays. In original it is called "Olles julcocktail" which means Olles Christmas cocktail but I remember that I first tried it out in the middle of summer.
Awesome Cucumber Infusion Summer Cocktail

Infusing vodka is really easy and gives your cocktails unique, pure flavors that can't be approximated by buying already-flavored vodka. This recipe also tells you how to make homemade sour mix, which is so much tastier than store-bought! This cocktail is always a huge hit at summer parties and barbecues. It's adapted from a cocktail served at the Delta Cafe in Portland, OR.
(This recipe is portioned for 16 drinks, but depending on the mix you like, you may end up with leftover juice, or sour, or vodka.) -- posted by CptShane

La Provence's Bourbon Old Fashioned

In November 2009, my husband and I were delighted to be able to have Sunday brunch at Chef John Besh's restaurant, La Provence, in Lacombe, Louisiana. We fell in love with everything we ate that day, and I purchased a signed copy of Chef Besh's cookbook "My New Orleans". Our waitress was wonderful; the manager was personable & friendly. We even chatted with the head chef, Erick Loos IV, and he signed my cookbook, too. We also had a wonderful drink - an Old Fashioned. Unfortunately, the recipe for this drink was not in the cookbook. So I emailed the restaurant and they graciously sent me their recipe. We cannot wait to go back! -- posted by Kat's Mom

Lorena's Michilada

I don't know if my friend Lorena made up her own recipe for this popular drink or if she got it from someone, but she's who I got it from- so she gets the credit! This is a great, sorta spicy but refreshing beer cocktail that pairs well with Salt & Vinegar chips and Mexican Novellas! Sort of like a Mexican Bloody Mary.. All the ingredients are adjustable to your own taste; want it spicier? Add more hot sauce. Tangier? More lemon! I use a 7oz bottle for one serving, but a regular 12oz bottle when I'm making two drinks or one large drink for myself, lol (I just don't quite double the other ingredients). -- posted by WithoutContext
