Apple Pear Cranberry Crisp

Adapted from 2007 Ina Garten's recipe. I added the cranberries. They go so well with the pears and the apples, and fresh cranberries were in season and they go so well with the orange zest and juice. This crisp can be successfully frozen. I just made mine the other night, and I actually assembled it and froze it all, wrapped tightly in plastic wrap then aluminum foil, for 8 months!!! And it was delicious. -- posted by Citruholic

Chez Panisse Berry Cobbler

Even people who don't normally like dessert or sweets usually like this as it's not overly sweet. From "Chez Panisse Desserts" by Lindsey Shere. You may use a mixture of any berries except strawberries. Blackberries/boysenberries are nice for the bulk; a few raspberries or black raspberries add a delicious perfume.
I like to mix raspberries and blackberries. My whole family loves (and inhales) this. -- posted by Epi Curious

Blueberry Cobbler

I got the original recipe from the Joy of Vegan Baking. I changed a few things in the recipe to make it lower carb. Instead of using just all purpose flour I substituted 1/3 of a cup with almond meal. I used Z-Sweet sugar substitute instead of sugar and used a mixture of black and blue berries. You could use any type of fruit in this. I used frozen berries in mine, and added an extra tbsp. of brown rice flour in the berries to make sure they thickened up enough. -- posted by Chef Joey Z.

Super Duper Easy Yummy Cobbler

This is the easiest cobbler I have ever made. I heard the recipe on the radio with my Grandma when I was young. We went to the store, bought the stuff to make it, and I've been making it ever since. My new father in law, who doesn't like sweets, insists I bring him one whenever I visit!
Blueberry Cobbler

This is a simple recipe that doesn't take more than a few minutes to prepare. The blueberries aren't too sweet, so you may want to add more sugar if you like super-sweet cobblers. I got the recipe for the crust somewhere, but i honestly don't remember where. I hope you enjoy this as much as my picky family did. The measurements are approximate for the filling, and i didn't use all of the crust mix, It rises some, so it's up to you whether you want to use it all -- posted by nini_nici

Apple Raspberry Pie

Apple Cranberry Crisps - Chatelaine

I found this recipe in of all places....the Air Miles magazine. Turns out it's from Chatelaine magazine. This is baked in individual serving sizes, but I expect it could also be made in a 9 or 10 inch casserole dish. Either way...nothing says comfort quite like a fruit crisp. This one especially. Would be wonderful to top off your Thanksgiving or Christmas dinner. I used orange juice in place of the liqueur. Use Granny Smith or any other firm apple because of the long baking time. Individual serving dishes should have a 1-1/2 cup capacity. Oh....don't forget the whipping cream on top ;) -- posted by Diana #2

Mom's Fruit Cobbler

This is the recipe my mom uses on both blueberry cobblers and peach cobblers. I am sure it would work with practically any fruit you wanted to try. When using blueberries, adding a little lemon zest/extract brings out the brightness in the flavors. When using peaches, adding some cinnamon pairs nicely. You may find adding a bit more self-rising flour to the sugar mixture in step #3 will help if you have runny cobbler -- posted by Jill R Q

Momma's Lemon Berry Bars

This was a lemon bar recipe I found in a church cookbook, but modified it a little to include raspberries and mulberries. It was a big hit with my family! You can use butter or margarine. If you don't have mulberries on hand just use all raspberries, or substitute other berries. The addition of the juice into the batter gives it a little added flavor. -- posted by MOMMABAKESWITHLOVE

Fresh Fruit Cobbler

I needed to use up some apples, and I found this recipe in Taste of Home's Family Favorites. Next time I'll throw in some peaches or blueberries or rhubarb or all 3 with the apples. I did put cinnamon in with the sugar and cornstarch because I thought it sounded good (the recipe doesn't call for it). This is faster and simpler than an apple pie and reminds me of eating an apple cake. YUM! One of the tricks my Mom taught me growing up is to save your butter wrappers after you use the butter because you can grease your pans with it (which is exactly what I did instead of spraying PAM on it). You save money, and you make sure you use all the butter...Serve this with whipped cream (my favorite) or vanilla ice cream. Reheats well. -- posted by AmyZoe

Brown Betty, a dessert made from layers of sweetened and spiced fruit and buttered breadcrumbs, dates back to colonial American times.
Cherry Cobbler

I usually double this recipe and serve it on Christmas Eve for 10 - 12 people. They always love it! It looks so festive for the holidays! It is best when you serve it warm with either whipped cream or vanilla ice cream. I usually make it ahead of time, and then after I cook other dinner items in the oven, I put the cobbler back in a warm oven (set at OFF after cooking other items) while we eat dinner. By the time we are done and ready for dessert, this is so GREAT with a dollop of whipped cream or ice cream!
Sweet, sugary, buttery goodness in a pan. This recipe is from Marsee Baking Company in Portland, Oregon. When we lived in that area, we used to pick wild blackberries and I could make this delicious dessert at a very low cost. It was heaven. The original recipe called for marionberries, but they are interchangeable in this recipe. I've lived in Texas all my life and haven't heard this before, so I looked it up and it was developed in 1959. Oh, by the the way the Brazos is a river for those of you who aren't from TEXAS.
Blueberry-Ginger Blender Clafouti and Variations

This recipe is from Cat Cora's cookbook, "Cooking from the Hip". Chef Cora says, "A clafouti combines the creaminess of a pudding and the texture of a cake but is easier to make than either one." She suggests serving this "warm from the oven with ice cream or softly whipped cream". It sounds delicious, so I thought I'd post it for safe keeping. -- posted by MarthaStewartWanabe

The Original Bisquick® Strawberry Shortcakes

The original Old Fashioned Shortcake recipe appeared on the first Bisquick® box in 1931. It's said that an advertising slogan promised – “Here’s the Kind of Strawberry Shortcake Your Husband Will Rave About.” Shortcakes are the sweet cousin of the dinner bisquit, and these easy-to-prepare treats have stood the test of time in my family. It started with my mom who made her Bisquick® strawberry shortcakes with her garden grown strawberries and REAL homemade whipping cream. Some thirty years later my sistes and I are still baking up these sweet treats. -- posted by Feast Your Eyes!

Blueberry Cornbread Cobbler

Gooey blueberries topped with creamy cornbread.

Recipe merged and modified from corn casserole. I found myself with an abundance of blueberries and the same company that adored the corn casserole we had last week. I'd already prepared dinner for the evening but quickly threw together this dish at the last minute. It baked perfectly throughout our meal. We chose to top with whipped cream although ice cream would be just as fine. We prefer it slightly underdone in the center, gooey even. Hope you enjoy. -- posted by Jasileet

Colorado Mel's Apple Cranberry Crisp

This recipe is delicious. Our family really enjoys tart fruit desserts, so the recipe below reflects that. If you prefer yours a bit sweeter then you should use a sweeter apple or add another half cup sugar to the fruit. One thing I love about this recipe is how versatile it is! I'll switch out what fruit I'm using just based on what I have on hand. Yummm! This is also a healthier "Crisp" recipe than the average. There is more fruit and less crisp... I enjoy the taste of the ratio as well as the lower fat content of the ratio. ;) Try it- I bet you'll enjoy it! -- posted by Colorado Mel
