Cherry Pecan Cobbler

Sassy's Summer Berry Crisp

This is a wonderful Summer Dessert. You can use whatever berries you can get your hands on. The combination of the apples and cherries are just awsome!
Cherry-pear Skillet Cobbler (for the Grill or Campfire)

Who says you can't have a fresh baked dessert at your campsite? It may be difficult to serve with ice cream at camp, but a bit of light cream is delicious. If you are making this at home on your grill (saving the heat from your stove during a hot summer) then by all means, do use the ice cream. This is a fun and delicious dessert to make next to your grilled meat, packet potatoes and grilled veggie side. Dinner is complete without even turning the stove on. -- posted by Karen From Colorado

Crock Pot Cherry Cobbler

The cobbler takes its name from the biscuit dough crust on top - it is rough looking or 'cobbled'. The Dictionary of Americanisms traces the first instance of the word cobbler (as it applies to a pie dish) in print to 1859: "Cobbler...a sort of pie, baked in a pot lined with dough of great thickness, upon which fruit is placed." This is a C21st version of the cobbler, adapted from Betty Crocker's 'Slow Cooker Cookbook'. A delicious cobbler which you can make in minutes and have ready just when you need it without heating up the kitchen, or having to check it in the oven when you're preparing or enjoying your main course. Using your crock pot for desserts is a fabulous way to simplify meal preparation, particularly when you have guests. This recipe can easily be varied to make other cobblers: using berries, peaches or apples, or by combining perhaps raspberries and strawberries or apples and peaches. -- posted by bluemoon downunder

Easy, Easy Cherry Cobbler

Nothing comforts like cobbler. YTumy warm cherry cobbler, with creamy vanilla ice cream, can't be beat. On this version, you simply top the cobbler with white bread slices ( I know it sounds odd, but trust me) and then drizzle with butter, to make a yummy crust. You can also do this recipe as Peach cobbler, or a berry cobbler, substituting 2 packages frozen peaches, or blueberries, strawberries, etc.. -- posted by KittyKitty

So Easy Cherry Cobbler

I discovered this recipe on the box of a Sara Lee pound cake. It is extremely simple to prepare, but has great flavor and presentation. We love it served with vanilla ice cream or whipped topping. Blueberry pie filling, or a combination of fresh blueberries, raspberries, sliced peaches or pitted cherries (to make 2 cups) combined with 3/4 cup apricot jam could be substituted for the cherry pie filling for variations on the cobbler. -- posted by ms_bold

The Lighter Side of Chocolate Cherry Cobbler

I wanted to use up some frozen cherries I had and thought a chocolate cherry cobbler sounded nice. However, all the recipes I found were loaded with butter or were made with mixes. I finagled with a couple different recipes until I came up with this, a lighter calorie cobbler, so easy to make, and has a rich chocolate taste! -- posted by FoodExplorer

Cherry & Walnut Cake Crumble

My Mom's dessert staple! This is a super-fast, super-easy recipe that makes for a fantastic dessert that isn't too rich and isn't too sweet.

I usually use walnuts for the nuts and cherry pie filling, but I guess you could use another kind of nuts and filling if you wanted. :)

You can use any kind/brand of cake mix, just as long as it's for white cake. 9 oz is the size of the Jiffy box, so if you're using another kind, just put in the whole box. -- posted by EmJoMay
