Wuollet's Brownie Enormous - Minnesota Brownies

A truly delicious brownie recipe from the Woullet Bakeries (several locations in and around the Twin Cities area). They are called 'enourmous' because this recipe (fits in a 9x13" pan) makes FOUR servings. That's absurd. Feel free to add whatever floats your boat; I left out the walnuts entirely and upped the chocolate chunks (I used one cadbury dark chocolate bar and a few chunks of a cadbury milk chocolate bar). This recipe is available on the Woullet website as well as the food network website. -- posted by Georgiapea

One-Bowl Ooey Gooey Peanut Butter Chip Blondies

This one's for the "undercooked cookies are the best" crowd. Well, I suppose I'll allow you to cook them all the way if you like. :) I've tweaked this recipe a bit to get it to the point that it's no fuss, and can even be done in one bowl. No messy scooping around in the peanut butter jar; this one uses peanut butter chips instead. You can substitute other types of chips if you like - chocolate, white chocolate, butterscotch, etc. -- posted by ItalianMama

Peanut Butter Crispy Brownies

This is an adaptation of a "Brownie Goody Bar" recipe I found on the back of a Better Crocker brownie box a few years ago. We also call them Scotcharoo Brownies, because they have a butterscotch, peanut butter, rice crispy layer on top of a fuggy brownie. This is my family's favorite sweet treat! They are sooo good. I usually wrap them individually in suran wrap and store in the refrigerator so that they do not all get eaten at once. This slows the guys down a little. -- posted by CindyMarie

Snickerdoodle Blondies

I've seen this recipe on several food blogs and was obsessed with them. Being a big fan of Snickerdoodle cookies, I knew the moment I saw these I had to give them a whirl. What impressed me most about this recipe was that it was super basic, no need to run out and buy anything special, just raid your fridge and pantry and bake away! These are super easy to make and will have your house smelling heavenly in 10 minutes. These bars go great with a cup of piping hot coffee! Now get obsessed with these bars and get to baking! My hats off to Julia of Dozen Flours who created this new favorite of my family and friends :) Now everyone asks me for the recipe!
Double Chocolate Zucchini Brownies

I found a recipe for zucchini brownies that claimed to be healthy, but it had 1/2 c. oil in it. I thought that was a bit too much, so I made up my own version--still rich, moist, and very chocolatey, but not so high in fat! I like to use whole wheat flour in cookies and brownies because I think it makes them moister, but if you prefer, you can substitute all or partly white flour. You can add nuts to this as well, if you like. A sprinkling of powdered sugar on top is a pretty finish. This is a great way to use up some of that abundance of zucchini--and to get your kids to eat some vegies! :) -- posted by Annz Recipez

Coconut Flour Brownies

This is a recipe from Tiana Coconut that I've adapted for a low-carb diet. The original calls for 6 eggs. I thought that might be a little too eggy so I replaced some of the eggs with flax meal. Once you try these you will never use a box mix again! They are so moist and delicious and will definitely satisfy the strongest of chocolate/sweets cravings! They are fudgy and chewy and not at all cake like. I usually make these for birthdays or holidays and they disappear with in minutes!
Super Sneaky Brownies

This is an even sneakier version of the "sneaky chef" brownies by Missy Chase Lapine. It is made with some of her "purple puree" but also utilizes black beans, which is a trick from Weight Watchers. No added fat to this recipe! No cholesterol! And if you omit the chocolate chips, it is vegan. It makes a very good, not overly sweet, cake-y brownie. NOTE: the purple puree part of the recipe makes a good 1 1/2 - 2 cups. This recipe uses only 1/2 cup, so reserve remainder for another use. It freezes well. -- posted by Susiecat too

The book is published in the UK, which is why the measurements are european as opposed to american, but I've had great success in converting weight to volume and other measurements here: http://www.onlineconversion.com/cooking.htm. *This site converts 8oz of self rising flour to be 2 cups, which is easily made by combining 2 cups all purpose flour, 3 tsp baking powder, and 1 tsp salt.* -- posted by Katzen

London's Borough Market Chocolate Brownies

Borough market brownie-maker Matt Jones shared his infamous dense chocolate brownie recipe on BBC Good Food, and I am posting it here for safe-keeping! For anyone who has tasted one of these brownies, the experience is sublime.......deep, intense and chewy brownies that are packed full of lucious chocolate! Borough Market is London's oldest food market, its origins date back from the time when the Romans built the original London Bridge. And, although it has moved from where it was originally established, Borough Market has occupied its current site for the last 250 years. You can find both food and non-food items in this market, but locals regularly go here to get fresh produce from various parts of the British Isles. One of the most popular foodie treats in the market, is the ostrich burger, as well as these delicious brownies. Makes 12 LARGE squidgy brownies. -- posted by French Tart

Asa Ransom House Brownie Mania

In 1799, the Holland Land Company offered lots 10 miles apart in what is now Clarence, New York, to "any proper man who would build and operate a tavern upon it". A young silversmith named Asa Ransom, had been plying his trade in the little fur trading post on the shores of Lake Erie. He was among the first to accept this opportunity and in the hollow of the ledge, near a pine grove, built a log home & tavern. In 1803, he built a grist mill, the first in Erie County. Over time, the business has evolved into a charming inn noted for it's authenticity, hospitality and cuisine. -- posted by Molly53

This is my grandmother's brownie recipe. It is decadent and delicious and only takes one bowl! (no extra cleaning!)
NOTE: 2 variations to this recipe:
1) Use 1 bag of semi-sweet chocolate chips instead of 4 squares baking chocolate and reduce the sugar to 3/4 of a cup down from 2 cups.
2) Use only 2 eggs and raise the cooking time by 12 minutes. Then let sit for 15 minutes longer (20 minutes total). -- posted by TeamO'Hara

Fat-Free Banana Fudge Brownies

A fat-free alternative to a classic dessert. I used cake meal to weigh down the texture of the brownies, which sometimes fluff up too much when oil or butter isn't used. It also gives the brownies a rich, deep, sweetness and retains moisture better. Also, the course kosher sea salt (preferably Mediterranean sea salt) is a must. The flavor of the chocolate is really dependent on the salt in this recipe, so using good quality course sea salt makes a huge difference. -- posted by seattle gourmet
