			<description>This yummy and super-rich chocolate brownie recipe has been adapted from a recipe by Maggie Beer, a revered Australian chef and author of many cookbooks.  If Sangiovese Verjuice is not available use any Verjuice; and you could use glac&amp;eacute; cumquat, ginger - or whatever glac&amp;eacute; fruit you like instead of the pear - and you could use a mixture of fruit and nuts. I'd recommend macadamia nuts. Some conversions: 300g = approximately 91/2 ounces; 250g = 8 ounces; 60g = 2 ounces; 40g = 11/3 ounces.  For the BEST results, do use top quality chocolate, such as Lindt 70% cocoa. 			<description>This is a filling, low points salad. If you really want to make it lower points, cut the amount of couscous you use (my usual couscous is 9 points per cup). I actually use 1/3 cup couscous for 3 points and leave out the olive oil from the dressing to make it really lean. As written, this recipe provides a total of 12 points but using 1/3 cup couscous and no olive oil gives 3 points only. Serves 2 as a lunch or up to 4 as a side dish. Cook time includes half an hour for the salad to chill in the refrigerator. Carol says: &amp;quot;Put this in a cold oven for a crisp crust and nice texture.  If this doesn't work in your oven, let the bread rise until level with top of pan; then bake in preheated 425&amp;deg; F oven for 25-30 minutes.  Use a pan specially designed for French bread.&amp;quot;  It is critical to cool bread completely before slicing and is easier to slice with electric knife. You need jumbo muffin tins to get the 14 muffins from this - regular tins will yield more muffins &amp;amp; likely need a slightly shortened cooking time. Should be getting about 11 grams of protein &amp;amp; 9 grams of fiber with about 32 grams of fat - but a lot of that is coming from the seeds &amp;amp; canola oil. 			<description>I had some extra veal I didn't know what to do with and figured I'd try making some jerky out of it.  It was surprisingly good.  I think I could have turned the oven off much sooner though, it was very brittle.  A nice slight hint of BBQ flavour and it was great.  I used calorie-free Walden Farms BBQ because I'm on a diet, but I'm sure another full flavour BBQ sauce would add much more flavour.  Also, I eyeballed the BBQ sauce, I used enough to cover all the meat, so it might be more than 1/2 cup.

Prep time does not include cooking of rice, as you can prepare the rice the night before, or use leftover rice.  I like cooking my rice fresh in my rice cooker while I fix the rest of the lunches.  These would also make good non-sweet treats for a Halloween party.
