A friend shared this with me. I don't like broccoli and she was trying to get me to try it. It took one bite and I was hooked! It is so yummy and easy to make. I usually make ahead and freeze or store in fridge for a day. Add at least 10 more minutes bake time if you do this. -- posted by Ranelle

Hey, I never tried this recipe. I found it on recipesource.com whenever I was looking for the nutritional analysis on the Beef and Broccoli Stir fry I had eaten at a Chinese restaurant. I absolutely LOVE that stuff. It's the greatest stuff. So you know that this has to be good. The prep time and cook time is unknown. If you could please tell us that would nice. -- posted by GloriaAnn

Stir-Fried Beef, Broccoli and Pecans in Garlic Sauce

This Asian-flavored recipe is adapted from a mailing I got from The Splendid Table, a recipe program on National Public Radio. The original used walnuts rather than pecans and dry sherry rather than mirin. I actually marinated the beef in the soy sauce-mirin mixture a couple hours before cooking. Be sure to use TOASTED sesame oil--it is used for its taste and regular sesame oil is just not the same. -- posted by echo echo

A recipe my mother and grandmother used to make when I was younger.
Evertime I went to a party or a dinner when I was younger this seemed to be on the table. It seemed to be something everyone made years ago.
Mind you I never quite liked it, but years later when my kids went to their grandmothers MIL, she made it for them, and from then on they would always ask her to make this for them when the went. They loved it and still do! My MIL always added corn and carrots or whatever vegetables she had on hand when she made it -- posted by Tisme

Cheesy, Meatball, Veggie Casserole

My SO is trying to cut down on carbs and I'm not,so I wanted to come up with a recipe that both of us would enjoy. If desired, you can brown the meatballs for a better flavor. The time for browning the meatballs isn't included in the cooking time. The "ZAAR" database doesn't have the carb count for the meatballs, and the vegetable blend, so my SO and I figured the amount of carbs for 6 servings would be 13 grams for each serving. So if you decide to try this, I hope you enjoy.Submitted to "ZAAR" on June 2,2008. -- posted by Chef shapeweaver ©

Beef and Broccoli Potatoes

From Family Circle website. Since I can't review my own recipe I'll do it here LOL I didn't think this one up I found it and I would only give it 3 stars. It's decent but not excellent. Definitely an interesting twist on a baked potato, and yes I did half a recipe :-) and it came out fine. OH I didn't microwave the potatoes though I baked them for around an hour at 350 on the oven rack (no foil) I only put them in foil once they were done to keep them from making a big mess when I filled them. -- posted by Teddy's Mommy

Can't remember if I got this off the Mac 'N Cheese box or where. It's a great way to change up plain old mac 'N cheese. Comfort food! If you have leftover fresh broccoli stems, chop them up and drop them in the boiling water with the noodles.
Beef Stir Fry - Asian Style

Preparation time does include marinade time, just to allow the marinade to soak into the beef. To get neat thin slices of beef I freeze the beef for 45 mins and then slice thinly, giving me the perfect cut. I don't eat red meat but Hubby and Little Miss (DD) love beef and they enjoyed this quick recipe. Original recipe comes from Annette Sym's which was featured on Channel Nine's Extra but I have twinkled with it -- posted by Chef floWer

http://chinesefood.about.com/od/beef/r/beefbroccoli.htm
By Rhonda Parkinson, About.com

The secret to this recipe is cooking the beef in 1 cup of oil to seal in the juices, and cooking the broccoli in water to make it crisp and tender. For a more authentic touch, try using Chinese broccoli, which has an appearance and taste similar to asparagus. -- posted by Chef Harsh Critic

I make this casserole frequently for supper because it is cheap, fast, filling and great for kids. It's even good for very young kids who are just beginning to eat table foods. When I was a kid, we would have this as a side dish for holiday dinners, but I make it as a simple supper with crackers or dinner rolls and salad.
