			<description>Blu Gourmet Pearl Couscous (GI 52) now carries the GI Symbol. Unlike traditional couscous, pearl couscous which takes its name from its pearl-like shape and size is often described as a toasted pasta specialty. Like regular pasta, it is made from hard (durum) wheat and water. But instead of being dried, it is toasted in an open flame oven. It has a rich, nutty flavour and a chewy texture, with a smooth, almost buttery mouth feel. It makes a perfect side dish to meat, poultry, or fish instead of potatoes, rice, or traditional pastas or couscous. It cooks in around 10 minutes by the absorption method  just like rice  and you can also use it in a variety of dishes  just like rice and other pastas.  Product ambassador, chef Gabriel Gate, has developed a number of recipes using pearl couscous. Youll find it will serve around 10 people at a barbecue and is a great way to use up leftover vegetables. 			<description>My friend Tricia made this for a cookout and I fell in love!  It is the only potato salad I will make from now on.  My husband never eats potato sald.  He says &amp;quot;If there is meat around, why waste the time on side dishes?&amp;quot;  He ate two HUGE servings of this......it is THAT good!  If you cannot find candied jalapenos, just use one small fresh jalapeno (seeded and minced) and a tablespoon of sugar....it is just as good.  We love curry, so we add more curry powder.  Taste it and customize it to your taste!

I wanted to create a potato salad without mayonnaise for a picnic, so that any leftovers would keep well enough for future lunches.  For potatoes I recommend Yukon Golds, and I recommend that the lima (butter) beans be fresh.  Celeriac is also known as celery root. Depending on what is available, turnips would work as well as celeriac. 			<description>Simple, refreshing and delicious! Juicy tomatoes, crisp cucumbers and crunchy onion combine with Miracle Whip to make an unbelievably delicious salad! You will be surprised and delighted...the juice from the tomatoes combines so well with the Miracle Whip, you'll never know that Miracle Whip is in it once the flavors have combined. You may be tempted to add something to it, it seems too simple to be good, but try it like this first, I guarantee you'll like it! I make it often for potlucks and BBQ's and people are always amazed at the simplicity of this recipe. Family legend is that relatives from California always made this salad and so it was dubbed 'California Salad'. Can easily be made low/non-fat, but I prefer the regular version. It is also great as a 'relish' on grilled meats, especially brats. This is also a very 'forgiving' recipe...I never measure anything, just throw it together. Just remember the veggie ratio is 1:1:1 and you'll do fine!  **Unless you live in a warm climate and can grow or get locally grown tomatoes all year long, don't bother making this in the winter! This is not only healthy, but it is SO festive and colourful - my photo shows the one I made this Boxing Day (26th December), I usually add kiwi fruit too, but we had run out of them.......oooops! My quantities listed here make enough for 6 to 8 people, but this can be increased as well as reduced to suit personal requirements. I normally serve this with cr&amp;egrave;me fraiche or vanilla yoghurt, but its also wonderful when served naked, the salad that is, not me!
