Easy Spaghetti

I like this one because the garlic mixes in with the tomato sauce and it goes all yummy. I found this recipe one night when my mum refused to make dinner. Also goes well with garlic bread and a glass of milk. -- posted by Chef of Awesomness

Penne With Carrots and Chevre

I got this recipe from a pasta cookbook that my mom gave to me when I started cooking. It should be made with green penne to add color, but I used white penne and whole-grain penne. I also chopped and added two small red potatoes in order to add more veggies and used half of the cheese. It was very yummy! My boyfriend and I ate this for a few days. -- posted by Abbs <3

Easy Ham Surprise

After the holidays we (of course) had some left overs, & I remembered seeing another recipe similar to this in a magazine, but for chicken w/cream of mushroom soup.....which gave me the idea.....and surprise! it was a huge hit! This can be changed up many different ways....add more or less of each of the ingredients, different flavors or textures, anything goes! -- posted by Chef #209920

Cheddar and Blue Cheese Cajun Noodles

Mac 'n' cheese, basically, but with noodles. This came about because a) I have dozens of packets of Kraft Blue Cheese Dressing in the house from Job Lot and b) I wanted to try Ranch Style Ramen (http://www.recipezaar.com/Ranch-Style-Ramen-93749) when I didn't have any ranch dressing in the house. The Kraft blue cheese dressing really isn't very strong, so if you use another type you might want to thin it out a bit with milk or half and half. This makes 1 small-ish serving. -- posted by Kris B.

Spaghetti Pie

A little different from the traditional spaghetti pie...it has Velveeta! Haven't tried this yet, but it looks pretty good for a fast weeknight meal. I'm sure the light Velveeta would work too. Honestly, I am not that crazy about the pre-packaged chicken breast strips, so I will probably sub 6 oz of cooked chicken breast.
Homemade Angel Hair Pasta

this is my recipe for home pasta. it is the only way to enjoy pasta.

You will also need a hand-rolling pasta maker. I bought a cheap one from bed bath & beyond and it broke after 3 uses. I have included a link to a good one below.

Learn from my mistakes - buy a decent one and never clean the machine with water. It will break like mine did, in the middle of making pasta for my team at work during our Christmas party. I also think a hand rolling one is better than electric, because it is a great workout.

Tagliolini With Pecorino Romano and Black Pepper

Don't let the number of ingredients fool you, this dish offers a lot of flavor despite it's simplicity. Be sure to get high quality ingredients; it makes a big difference in a recipe with so few ingredients and it's still ridiculously cheap to make. Even the pepper is important, don't use the powdery stuff that's been sitting around for a year, splurge on some high quality peppercorns; you won't regret it.

The lack of oil is one of the most notable things about this recipe. While some add oil or butter to this dish, you'll find it really isn't necessary. Instead you use the starchy pasta water to create an emulsion sauce with your cheese which will stick to the pasta beautifully. As for the pasta itself, taglioni is a particular cut, but this recipe would work just as well with something thicker like tagliatelle or fettucine.

Although it's an old Roman favorite, I got this recipe from a recipe blog called "Rachel Eats" which I highly recommended. I wanted to post it on here to give it a wider audience. -- posted by OwlMonkey

Frozen Baby Meal 1 of 6 (Spaghetti)

This is one of six frozen baby meals I used to make for my son. A friend gave me the combination and with minimal preparation you save yourself time and money. All six are really pretty good and I've made them for myself in a pinch. I would either try to use leftover meat from other dishes I'd prepared or intentionally make extra to use for these meals. My son used to have a three-compartment baby tray with lid and I'd put one or two frozen cubes in the first slot, a little baby vegetable in the second slot and a little baby fruit in the last slot and he was set for lunch. I'd have his tray ready the night before or in the morning and by lunch the frozen cube(s) had almost thawed and just needed a little warming in the microwave. The serving sizes are difficult to determine since it is dependent on the age of the child. -- posted by Queen Puff

Ranch Chicken Pasta Salad

It's too gorgeous out to spend much time in the kithen, but I was pretty impressed how a package of Kraft Classic Ranch with Bacon Pasta Salad can be doctored up to taste homemade. I threw in an extra tomato because it tastes fresher and some extra chives. You could probably top this with nuts or cheese or olives...whatever your heart desires. I think this would make an easy potluck dish or a whoops we have unexpected company and now what are we going to feed them last minute meal.
Cooking Pasta in the Microwave

This method is useful for cooking for a single serving or two of pasta. Ideally, use a 1 1/2-quart ceramic pot. According to "Microwave Cooking for One" by Marie T. Smith, the shape and arrangement of the food in the microwave makes a difference in its cooking.
Beef and Noodle Bake

Very easy and yummy dinner that you can customize in your own way or just do it like the recipe shows! I've used more meat and/or noodles if I wanted it to be thicker, I would put about 1.5 lbs of meat and 2+ cups of macaroni.
I've added a small can of sliced mushrooms and a handful or 2 of chopped onions to change it up a bit and that tasted great as well! You can also try different kinds of spaghetti sauces! You can also use ground turkey for this! -- posted by Chef #1353947
