Deliciously Grilled Bourbon Salmon

It's a sweet salmon that's literally "melt in your mouth" good. It calls for more bourbon than most recipes, but the brown sugar really balances it out. -- posted by brivey0410

Spicy Red Pasta Sauce

Known in Italian as arrabiata sauce, this is an amazing homemade red sauce. The ingredients are frugal but the end result is delicious. My fiance and I use this often when we are having friends over. Add some chicken sausage and fresh basil if you want to make it extra special. -- posted by quirkycook

Fish Tacos

Fish tacos are a lower-calorie way to enjoy a favorite Mexican dish -- and the whole family will love them. Preparation is streamlined by using convenient canned condiments and frozen fish sticks. Because all the cooking is done in the oven, there’s no need to stand over a stove waiting for fish to brown and cook. -- posted by Chef #1365024

Easy Salmon Pie

This is a super easy salmon pie. I usually buy red salmon but if your budget is tight, use pink. We all need to eat more fish and this is a great way to get in those healthy omega 3's. We eat it plain with a vegetable or creamed peas and salad but feel free to serve it with a lemon sauce or butter sauce if desired. I sometimes add a pinch of dillweed for a change of pace. -- posted by ugogirl

Glaze for Grilled Pork Tenderloin

My husband's cousin gave me this recipe which is so darn easy, it's unbelievable. Everyone who has had it has loved it. You can make the glaze early in the day and microwave it right before serving, after you take the tenderloin off of the grill. We don't even season the tenderloin -- just throw it on the grill; slice, and drizzle this glaze over the slices. -- posted by quikgourmet

There are seafood stews swimming through every cuisine in the world. The shrimp cook in seconds, so they should be added in the last minute of simmering.

Roasted Tofu With Pepper Sauce

Tip: For roasted tofu, the denser texture obtained from freezing it is best. To freeze, cut into minimum 1/4" thick slices; freeze in a single layer in an airtight container for up to one month. Thaw in refrigerator to use. The longer the tofu stays frozen, the denser it becomes.

Make ahead: After completing step 2, cover and refrigerate for up to 24 hours. -- posted by Cecily Parsley

Salmon Herb Pie

The “crust” for this quick and easy “pie” is made from a layer of whole wheat couscous. Couscous is a tiny, precooked pasta from Morocco. All you need to do to enjoy its global flavor is add boiling water and it’s ready in three minutes. Even better, whole-wheat couscous has all the nutrition of 100 percent whole grain. The soaked couscous is topped with a layer of herbed cheese, mixed vegetables, canned salmon and mozzarella, and warmed through in a hot oven. Hint: you will need a little vegetable oil to coat the pie pan. -- posted by Chef #1365024

How to Brine a Ginormous Turkey

This is an easy overnight brine for your Big Bird or even a couple of smaller birds. The secret is your picnic cooler. Cook time is brine time. If you are brining a chicken reduce the brine time to 2 - 4 hours. I don't add spices to the brine at all since I don't want to mask the flavor of the bird. This works on any poultry. -- posted by Secret Agent

Ham Barbecue Sandwiches Pittsburgh Style

This is a recipe originally published in the Pittsburgh Post Gazette for a regional favorite using local products, Heinz ketchup and Isaly's chipped ham, although shaved deli ham is a good substitute. This is a quick and easy crowd pleaser that can be doubled or tripled. This is a favorite on football Sundays watching our favorite team, the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Super Fast Asian Chicken Nuggets

This recipe is a copycat of Wendy's Sweet Asian Chicken. My roommate had it one day, and I dipped one of my fries in the sauce. I was shocked to realized that the sauce is essential Thai sweet chili sauce. So here is a super fast, convenience food filled recipe to mimic it. Great for dinner with steamed veggies and rice, perfect for a lunch box! If you are making it for heat leery kids, leave off the rooster sauce. :) -- posted by CraftScout

Salsa Chicken Slow Cooker Recipe

so good! and so easy! my boyfriend and I seriously make this 2 days in a row so that we have a big pot of it. You can make it into a sandwich, or eat it with tortilla chips for a party, or you can put it over rice and enjoy it that way! This recipe came from a friend, she got it from a recipe book at the dollar store, I would have thought it would already be on here, but nope. Your chili powder may taste a little bit different than Gebhardts (if you have bought it and know how it tastes) it depends on the potency of the ingrediates you buy.

Found this recipe on Care2 website @ http://www.care2.com/greenliving/ten-mothers-garlic-and-spinach-soup.html

Adapted from The Roasted Vegetable, by Andrea Chesman (Harvard Common Press, 2002).

This delicious broth, redolent with garlic and enriched with the vitamins and minerals of fresh spinach, takes its name from an old folk saying that garlic is as good as ten mothers.

This soup is not only tasty and nourishing, it makes a comforting remedy for winter sniffles and sneezes. -- posted by SassiFras

Potato Tortillas

Being married to an Idaho boy, we eat potatoes a lot and I am constantly searching for ways to use up the huge boxes of potatoes his family sends us. Luckily, after all these years, I remembered when I was living in California I went to dinner at someones house where they were using the leftover mashed potatoes rolled up in tortillas for dinner. Thus the inspiration for this recipe! -- posted by Chalko
