Famous Fudge

I have not yet tried this, but it is from an overdue library book (From Our Mothers' Kitchens) and I want to return the book tomorrow, so need to get the recipes I want to try copied down, pronto. I would very much like to try this fudge, but I know I don't have the arm strength to pull it off. I may try it with my heavy-duty mixer; what's the worst that could happen? Anita Stewart, the author of the cookbook and the daughter of the recipe's originator, says you can use this recipe to make chocolate fudge: "Add 3 coarsely diced squares of semisweet chocolate to the final mixture to make a creamy chocolate variation." -- posted by Lennie

Super Simple No Candy Thermometer Fudge

This recipe comes from my DH's grandmother. Over Christmas she gave me two recipes one for old fashion fudge and then this super simple recipe. I made both and the super simple recipe was voted most delicious by the entire family. Thanks for the recipe Grammie! -- posted by atxfoodies

Chocolate Cayenne Truffles

This is a recipe I found on the Internet in several different places. I love it, though I've found that some people find it too intense to enjoy. If you know someone who likes spicy food, this might not be a bad Valentine's Day treat. It starts off cool and sweet, but is spicy when it melts on your tongue. The ginger on the outside helps give a little bite at the start. -- posted by korvus

Super Easy & Delicious Fudge

If you like fudge and you like easy, this is the recipe for you! My grandma used to give this to us for Christmas served in circular tins, separated by wax paper. I prefer plain chocolate fudge, but have been known to insert some Andes mints in here or there. I went through a phase in high school where I made this almost bi-weekly. -- posted by Chef Acosta

Fatal Fudge

I got this recipe years ago from the Wayne Brady show for Fudge Fatale.
Be very careful when making this recipe. The emulsion you create can splatter and burn as it’s cooking, so use caution. This recipe is anything but foolproof . It can easily be ruined by cooking too hot or too long. You should buy enough ingredients to make it several times because it takes practice to get it right. -- posted by Amy BC
