			<description>i love granola but i have to change most recipes to suit my nut allergy, i cant eat nuts but i can eat seeds so i replace a lot of things with more seeds, chuck i whatver you ahve got that is avaiable i say! this makes quite a lot and it is half of the nigella recipe! i store it in old washed out coffee jars apparently you should store it in the fridge so that the oils in the seeds dont go rancid.  to be honest it never ahngs around that long in our house.  I dont half the ginger as i like the taste, i would say to alter the spices to taste. 			<title>Scottish Cream Crowdie With Raspberries</title>

			<description>This is a name that isn't really known on these shores, although there may be a small group or two of people of Scottish descent who use it. It is an Anglicized version of an old Gaelic (Scottish) word for curd. A crowdie was a porridge (or pudding) and was usually eaten for breakfast. This version is one that was used on special occasions at harvest time. Although a crowdie doesn't traditionally include fruit, it, like any breakfast cereal, is certainly lifted to another level when it is included. The semolina cake was originally from Greece &amp;amp; called &amp;quot;Revani&amp;quot;.  When I saw you could substitute the semolina for cream of wheat, I figured my malt-o-meal would work just as well.  I had maple brown sugar malt-o-meal &amp;amp; we loved it so much, I don't think I will ever be able to make it any other way.  If you don't have that kind of malt-o-meal, I would imagine you can incorporate those flavors in the syrup that is drizzled on top.  This cake was gone in 2 hours. 			<description>My husband and I eat this every morning M-F.  The oatmeal is low sodium, low sugar, high fiber.  The apricots are high Vit A (beta carotene), the walnuts are high Vit E.  Without honey, it's quite bland. 			<description>As I can't eat oats, I make this with rolled millet or buckwheat for me and with oats for DH. Millet requires 4 parts liquid for one part millet, so for oats use 1/2 cup and for millet 1 cup liquid. For dried fruit I use dried papaya but posted raisins because I doubt that dried papaya will be listed ;) You can try any dried fruit that floats your boat, though. 			<description>Here's a healthy granola that doesn't have a lot of oil, but has a lot of good-for-you ingredients in it. It's good sprinkled over vanilla yogurt or with milk -- or out of hand as I walk through the kitchen! I bake it at 325 for about 40 minutes, but my oven is going wonky, so I put the recipes original instructions here. You can substitute orange or cranberry juice for the apple juice. I've used almond butter instead of peanut and it turned out great.
