			<description>This is the recipe I make every year for the Super Bowl, for my boyfriend and two dozen or so of his closest beer-drinking, football-watching friends. 

The problem with trying to find a good chili recipe is that what makes a &amp;quot;good&amp;quot; chili is a personal opinion; my idea of a great chili may be very different from yours. My chili is heavy on the meat, garlic and spice; rather rich-tasting, hearty, thick, fiery, and smoky. If that sounds like something you'd enjoy, I'm also going to include plenty of advice on how to adjust it to meet your tastes.

I still have love for Mrs. T's, but there is nothing like a homemade pierogi; it's the ultimate comfort food for me.  I won't bother to put up a dough recipe since there are so many good ones out there but I will advise never to trust a pierogi dough recipe that doesn't call for sour cream.  So here are my recipes for potato and cheese, cabbage, and meat fillings.  I try to cut a few corners since making pierogies is an all day event. They are all my own creations with the exception of the hunter's seasoning mix which I found in a traditional polish cookbook called &amp;quot;Polish Holiday Cookery&amp;quot; by Robert Strybel. &amp;quot;Da kine&amp;quot; is a key phrase in Hawaiian Pidgin, the language of the &amp;quot;locals.&amp;quot; It can mean almost anything, but commonly refers to something good or genuine, or as in this case, &amp;quot;the best.&amp;quot;

 This burger is as local as it gets, both in taste and ingredients. The patties are tender and juicy, thanks to fresh papaya and sweet onion, and are spiced with Hawaiian Portuguese sausage, which is so popular in Hawaii that it is on every breakfast menu (including McDonald&amp;amp;#8217;s). The accompanying salad employs heating oil to its smoking point, a local cooking method, resulting in a dynamite burger accompaniment. To complete the Hawaiian flavoring, I added a sweet glaze (Hawaiians love sweet and savory) and was inspired by our award-winning goat dairy to create a mouth-watering ginger-infused cheese spread. Ho, dat's da kine!

Whether you be in a Hotel, a Guest House or a Bed and Breakfast, you will be offered a Scottish cooked breakfast, that will usually include the slices of this Scottish Lorne sausage. It is nearly always on a breakfast menu, along with bacon, egg, and &amp;quot;tattie&amp;quot; (potato) scones, and many Scots will eat it in a bread roll for lunch or maybe serve it with potatoes and vegetables for dinner. This is an easy recipe - and the sausage can be frozen in slices for ease and convenience. Prep time includes chilling time. What's in a name? It is thought that the Lorne sausage, which also goes by the names of square sausage, sliced sausage or sausage slice, was an invention of the Scottish comedian Tommy Lorne who lived from 1890 and died in 1935. He was born in Kirkintilloch near Glasgow. His birth name was Hugh Gallagher Corcoran. Tommy Lorne performed in many Scottish theatres and often performed in Glasgow and Edinburgh and was much in demand for pantomime. In his own acts he would apply white make-up and wear a short kilt, a glengarry, boots that were far too big for him and a jacket that was short. He spoke in an hilarious high pitched voice. It is thought that Lorne sausages were named after Tommy Lorne because of one of his famous catchphrase: &amp;quot;sausages are the boys&amp;quot; - he loved his sausages! He often ate a sausage sandwich between his acts. Add more or less of any ingredients you wish. I don't drain the beans but do so if you want. I use it in my soup warmer for parties. Im guessing on servings, I never really took a count,,,I usually do buffets and this is plenty with the other foods. This freezes well. I usually cook ahead of time, For parties freeze in 2.5 gallons ziplock and defrost the night before. Great for parties, superbowl or just OAMC put into smaller ziplock bags. This taste better the next day when all the flavors come together. I don't have the size pots so I divide it into 2 pots, 6 and 8 qt. Great to make for the Superbowl or a casual get together. All the spices are to taste. The measurements below are estimates, I rarely measure. Feel free to cut back on the Jalepeno if you don't like your food spicy. Also, instead of just plain ground beef, I have made it using left-over chili, just cut back on the spices then.Use more or less Milk to make cheese as thin/thick as you like, keep in mind the salsa will thin it out. You can use Pepper jack Velveeta if you cannot find the Mexican style. Also, leftover chili or 1/2 lb ground beef and 1/2 lb Chorizo instead of ground beef has had awesome results in my household, just cut back on seasonings. 			<description>I have always loved Skyline Chili. I'm not from Cincinnati, but have been there. This is a combination of recipes I used to make one that has worked for me. I made it for the big superbowl party my family has every year. They loved it! I've never made it from scratch before because I didn't know what all was in the sauce. I had always used sauce packets from the grocery store. When the store was out, I had to come up with another solution. I love to cook and experiment. So...this is what I came up with.
