The Lady's Cheese Biscuits & Garlic Butter - Paula Deen

I live in Savannah, Georgia, and have encountered these biscuits straight from The Lady & Sons restaraunt. They're incredible! At my former workplace, we had the Lady & Sons cater lunches for training seminars and these were always the first to disappear. This is from a recipe that ran in the Savannah Morning News a few years ago. The sharp cheddar is my preference, although the original recipe simply states "cheddar". If making the jumbo, ice-cream scoop biscuits, this will make about four. -- posted by GoKittenGo

Vincent Price House Bread

Adapted from a recipe in "A Treasury of Great Recipes" by Mary and Vincent Price, this is an excellent loaf that Mr. Price called his "house bread." He states that it has a taste and texture very close to real French bread. Enjoy it fresh and warm, spread with garlic butter and sprinkled chopped parsley and chives. Mr. Price suggests it is excellent with Dungeness crab, mustard mayonnaise, and Italian Soave white wine. The original recipe employed hand kneading, while this recipe has been updated using a modern mixer (a KitchenAid works great!).
Cinnamon Rolls (Paula Deen)

I watched Paula make these numerous times on her show and I just now got around to making them myself. I have to say these are by far the best cinnamon rolls I have ever made. The dough is so soft and easy to work with (and can you believe she didn't load it with butter?) and the baked rolls are fluffy, flavorful, and perfect! I made the filling 1/2 white sugar-1/2 brown sugar along with the cinnamon since I prefer a darker, richer filling. The recipe says to bake in a preheated oven for 30 minutes, but I put my rolls into the oven and THEN preheated it and they were baked perfectly after being in the oven for about 25 minutes. What can I say? These are perfect! -- posted by Christineyy!

Hamburger Bun Toasts

This recipe is from Cooking with Paula Deen magazine Nov/Dec 2009. It is an accompaniment to Bacon Cheeseburger Soup Recipe#411645 I posted, also by Paula Deen. These delicious cheese toasts have a nice zip with the mustard and worcestershire sauce along with a hearty helping of cheese. They are perfect dunkers for soup especially the soup above as you feel like with the two it is a burger on a bun. Easy to make and fast to make. Fun looking and unique. Enjoy!
