Dylan's Chillin'

This recipe comes from one of my most favorite places on Earth, Dylan's Candy Bar which is on the Upper East Side in New York. The recipe appeared in the New York Daily News and is a wonderful way to get a megadose of sugar and chocolate in liquid form. -- posted by Mirj

Chocolate Milk Shake or Mocha Milk Shake

You could use chocolate ice cream instead for extra chocolaty shake.
Since someone gave me a low rating because this shake was not as thick as they wanted, I will specify that this recipe is not meant to make a super thick shake. If that's what you're after, combine the rest of the ingredients first and then slowly add the milk as you mix until you get to the consistency you want; probably it will end up somewhere between 1/4 and 1/2 cup milk for a fairly thick shake and may be as little as 1/8 of a cup or less if you want it so thick that you couldn't suck it up through a straw. -- posted by littleturtle

Delicious Cocoa for Pms Sufferers

This sweet dessert beverage is rich in calcium, magnesium and potassium, all which are thought to help relieve PMS symptoms. Other sources of nutrients are the antioxidant rich cocoa which is also high in fiber. The cocoa powder really curbs cravings.
I already have this listed in my recipes under another name, but I wanted to give it an alternative title for PMS sufferers to find easily. I have changed a few ingredients for more nutritional benefits and to help with bloating. -- posted by Rose's Granddaughter

Goodrich Dairy Chocolate Caramel Malt

While stationed at Offutt AFB near Omaha, Nebraska and living in the barracks back in the late 70's, inevitably someone in the lounge on a Friday or Saturday evening would say, "Who wants to make a run to Goodrich Dairy?" We'd scramble for our shoes and our wallets, and off we'd go. My friend Sharon got me hooked on these malts, and whenever I have one, I'm reminded of the fun we had together: cruising the base-gates & seeing which L.E's were working or those Saturday evenings when we'd get all gussied up & head over to The cHEETah to do some dancing or when we were really bored & go cruising 73/75 & waving to guys in hot muscle cars.
Simple Mocha Frappe

I worked as a barista for 2 years and I tend to be very picky when it comes to specialty coffee drinks. Living in an area where there is a coffee stand on every corner I have tasted so many different versions on each drink so I know that though everyone will use the same ingredients for the most part, quantities and quality matter! This is my simple yet satisfying Mocha Frappe. Although I am sure many might think to substitute for the ingredients to suit their tastes/diet or to use what they have on hand, I hope you will reconsider and use store bought chocolate milk if you can because it is thick and creamy which will make a difference. For variations to this recipe you could add a bit of coconut extract or other flavors, or even flavor syrups. And top with whip cream to make it extra delicious! If you don't have the chocolate milk it is ok to substitute with half and half (can be fat free) and some chocolate syrup as I have found that still gives it enough thickness. -- posted by CulinaryExplorer

Chocolate-Peanut Butter Milkshakes (Aka Peanutty Freeze)

My husband and I, while we were still dating, used to meet at our local Red Robin after work for our midweek dates. His favorite drink during the sumemr was the Peanutty Freeze. It's basically just a chocolate and peanut butter milkshake. My husband was really disappointed when Red Robin changed their menu many years ago, eliminating the Peanutty Freeze altogether. My husband has missed this milkshake ever since. So I went on a search for the recipe so he would be able to have his favorite milkshake now and then at home. After much begging, I eventually came upon this recipe for the Red Robin Peanutty Freeze (chocolate peanut butter milkshake). -- posted by NorthwestGal

Hg's Make-Mine-Mint Cookie-Rific Ice Cream Freeze-Ww Points=3

This recipe was featured in an email this morning from Hungry Girl. "The results are DELICIOUS!!!! BTW, I say it's never too cold out to slurp down this shake. Just do it while in the comfort of your toasty-warm home. Happy sipping!" FROM THE READER: Dear Hungry Girl, I keep hearing about that Mint Oreo Ice Cream Shake at Carl's Jr., and I can't stop thinking about it. Do you have a swap for me, HG? Shake Me Up HG'S REPLY: Yes! Of course there's an HG swap for this one. That crazy shake actually has 800 calories and 37g fat (POINTS. value 19*). And although I'm not always a fan of the chocolate-mint combo, I get why people are obsessed with this shake. Based on one of our popular recipes -- the Cookie-rific Ice Cream Freeze -- we made a minted-up version that tastes A LOT like the one Carl's Jr. sells. Only ours doesn't carry the insane nutritional price tag! Here's how to make it...
PER SERVING (entire shake): 159 calories, 3.25g fat, 164mg sodium, 26.5g carbs, 1.5g fiber, 12g sugars, 6g protein -- POINTS. value 3* -- posted by senseicheryl

Peanut Butter and Banana Chocolate Milkshake

If you need to use up some leftover bananas or you just feel like dessert but don't want to spend a lot of time making--this will do the trick. I used vanilla bean ice cream instead of chocolate ice cream and still found it super chocolatey and rich. Make sure it's a little soft and not just out of the freezer or you'll have difficulty mixing. I put a little extra peanut butter (I'll post the recipe the way I found it), but you decide if you prefer more peanut butter or chocolate. I found this online from Stephanie Zonis, but I'm not sure which website. Enjoy! -- posted by AmyZoe
