			<description>This cookie is a Christmas tradition started by my grandmother.  She used to always mail them along with her &amp;quot;Minnesota Bars&amp;quot; (#162331).
I have a note on the recipe card that it was originally a winner in Pillsbury's 1st Grand National by Miss Laura Rott of Naperville, Illinois.  (One bite and you'll know why it won.)
The original recipe called for one package of Rockwood Chocolate Mint Wafers.  I've never been able to find them in the store so I use Andes Mint Baking Pieces.  I'm sure you could also melt regular chocolate chips and add a little mint flavoring as well.
I posted the &amp;quot;refrigerator cookie&amp;quot; method because I think it's easier.  You can also chill dough for just two hours, then enclose chocolate in 1 tbsp. of dough.  Bake according to directions.

			<description>This is a great fudge recipe which I make every year at Christmas. The better the chocolate, the better the fudge so try not to use plain supermarket chocolate chips  use good quality chocolate such as Ghirardelli or Lindt. Milk, semisweet, or a mix of chocolates work well. This uses less sugar than other other recipes so it's less sweet - people who don't usually eat fudge because they find it too sweet like this. I usually use semi-sweet or dark chocolate. 			<title>World's Best Chocolate Chip Cookies (By Dorie Greenspan)</title>

			<description>This recipe makes a perfect chocolate chip cookie that is both chewy and crispy.  It is from Dorie Greenspan's excellent cookbook, &amp;quot;BAKING: From My Home to Yours&amp;quot;.  Including nuts is highly recommended.  
Some variations: for chocolate chocolate chip cookies, substitute 3/4 cup of flour for 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder; for espresso chocolate chip cookies, add 1 1/2 tablespoons espresso powder after the vanilla extract; for a coconut version, add 1 1/2 cups sweetened (toasted or untoasted) shredded coconut when adding the chocolate chips; and for peanut butter chocolate chip cookies, substitute 1/2 cup of peanut butter for 1/2 a stick of butter and beat them together before adding sugar (and use peanuts). Enjoy!

Note:  The dough can be covered and refrigerated for up to 3 days, or frozen. If you'd like, rounded tablespoonfuls of dough, ready for baking. Freeze the mounds on a lined baking sheet, then bag them when they're solid. The trick for these roasted roots is to cook them en papillote (in a paper parcel) for the first 30 minutes - almost oven steaming them, before opening up the paper and allowing them to brown and go crunchy and crispy around the edges! Sprinkle them with sea salt, cayenne pepper and freshly ground black pepper before serving them in the paper on a flat plate. You can also make smaller individual parcels for full dining impact!! Use whatever root vegetables you have to hand. The vegetables listed in this recipe are the ones that I used for the last few times of cooking this dish, but I can see possibilities of many more veggies, especially when they are in season. You can reduce the fat content in this recipe by adding just a teaspoon of olive oil and putting the vegetables in a zip-lock bag with the oil, then give it all a good shake, I went FULL fat throughout Christmas and the New Year period! I love dark chocolate and so that is the direction I went and threw in the other ingredients to try to cut through the richness.
