			<description>For chocolate lover's only!  Got this recipe last week after having this at a friends Christmas Party... First of all, it's HEAVENLY.  Everyone kept talking about this pie &amp;amp; with word of mouth, it was gone before most could try it... I got to try it &amp;amp; it is delicious!  I didn't even think I was that into chocolate, but this is very creamy &amp;amp; looked so pretty on the Holiday dessert table as it was garnished with puffs of whipped cream, drizzled with chocolate, topped with red cherries &amp;amp; green sprinkles... totally decadent!

Tinker around with adjustments to the spices to your liking, though I recommend leaving equal if not more ginger than cinnamon and then lessening cloves and allspice to your taste (reduce allspice before you reduce cloves for a better balance).

Also, you can lighly spray cooking oil into the cake pan before you add the caramel (perhaps more on the sides than the bottom, because caramel will make it slippery on bottom). 			<title>Quick Christmas Pudding - a 'lite' Version of This Favourite</title>

			<description>We always seem to be in the Christmas festive season again without even thinking. Where does the time go. Here is a great recipe that I have made every year for the more than the last 10 years and has been enjoyed by both my family and friends alike. After having the full Christmas meal sometimes a very rich and heavy Christmas pudding can be too much so some so this is the perfect alternative.
This is a Lite (as is lighter in density and not in the dietary sense) version of a traditional Christmas pudding that does not need to be made way in advance of the day to get the best flavour but can and should be made on the day before or on the day it is required.
There are a couple of traditions that I always follow when making this recipe.
 The first is I always use my Grandmother's Denby stoneware mixing bowl as I am convinced that this gives the pudding a better flavour;
 The second is always get everyone who is at home when I am making the pudding to give the mix a gentle stir just before putting into the pudding basins so that they can individually make a wish.

			<description>This is a wonderful, light summery dessert, which never fails to please my guests, as well as my family and friends! Fresh peaches are soaked in sweet Sauternes with angelica leaves and lavender flowers tucked amongst them. Angelica is an interesting, aromatic tasting herb, and although I normally only use the stems to candy or crystallise (Recipe #248003) I have discovered that the leaves also make a great accompaniment when used with fresh fruit. Try to serve this fresh fruit salad in a large clear glass bowl for maximum impact; it just looks so pretty with the light shining through the fruit, juices and herbs! I find that the only thing that is needed to serve this is a good dollop of cr&amp;egrave;me fraiche. I have also made this with apricots and melon for a slight change. I like to use a combination of white and yellow peaches for this recipe  but please use local and fresh peaches regional to your area. Prep time includes the minimum &amp;quot;soaking&amp;quot; time. I like to make this tasty, simple, and quick dessert when I have a huge can of pumpkin I haven't completely gone through. Whole milk and cinnamon rice milk really work best for this recipe, but some tasty variations that really add to this pudding's richness are vanilla rice or soy milk, and Silk Pumpkin  Pie flavored soy milk (which is only seasonal, I wish it was available year-round! And is it just me or does Silk Pumpkin Pie Soymilk taste just like Silk Nog that's available around Christmas, only they package it differently? So if you're making it around Christmas, use Silk Nog!) This awesome dessert is great for parties and potlucks,

			<description>This is a very old recipe that was my husband's grandmother's own creation.  She was well known for her cooking and baking.  I have been making this for over 40 years and always get raving reviews.  Once, a cousin gifted me with a very large glass bowl that had 8 smaller serving dishes.  She included a note that this was to become 'the family dinners rice custard pudding bowl' as everyone requested that I make it for all our gatherings!  For a creamier custard pudding, use Aborio rice or a medium grain rice; I prefer the short Aborio rice.  Never use instant rice.

This recipe can be easily divided in half and so on. For the pudding I used the kind that you cook verses the instant. I think the cooked pudding has a much nicer and thicker consistancy. The amount below for the oreos is a guesstimate because it wouldn't let me put down 1 large package of oreos but either way just one regular package of oreos crushed is what you need. Carl Andersen was the founder and longtime owner of Chatam Restaurant in Hollywood, a favorite of the stars of the past.  The recipe is from his daughter's &amp;quot;Star Food&amp;quot; cookbook.
PLEASE REMEMBER: You can not use &amp;quot;converted&amp;quot; rice to prepare this dish.  You also can not hurry up the cooking times-it says two hours in the oven, and that is what you must do.
I have modified the dish by leaving out 1 cup blanched, slivered, almonds, which I have never seen used in the dish here.  One whole blanched almond may be added just before serving-the person who finds this in their serving traditionally receives a &amp;quot;mandelgave&amp;quot;, some small gift, from the host/hostess. 			<description>Lovely butterfinger topped mini-suffles.  Recipe calls for less, but I like to really lay on the butterfinger dusting.  I ground it very finely and coat it both before baking and afterward...then again I love butterfinger! I also like subbing in 50-50 butterfinger chocolate with the chocolate chips!

			<description>Shortcut with eggnog and pumpkin pie spice!  I also like using leftover cinnamon rolls, cinnamon bread, or pannatone.  

Make it healthy with no sugar added bread, sugar-free hershey bars, splenda, soy or low-fat eggnog and fat free half-n-half. 

 I also like using white chocolate chips or a white/brown combo.  For a more unique flavor, use cloves, nutmeg, cinnamon (i use 1 TBS each because i like the spice) and add some rum extract. 			<description>Luscious fresh strawberries nestle amongst light sponge cake sandwiched with strawberry jam, which are then covered with creamy custard and topped with clotted cream. Simple! This trifle may be simple but it is the star on any tea-time or dessert table and if you cannot obtain clotted cream, use whipping cream, heavy cream or double cream instead. Madeira is used in place of sherry in this trifle, which gives a mellow flavour to the trifle. This is a recipe that my mum sent to me, from a cutting in a British magazine promoting Devon and Cornwall in the West Country - home of the Cream Tea!  If you wish to serve this to children or non-drinkers, substitute the Madeira with fruit juice of your choice. In the summer scatter some pink rose petals over the top for the ultimate and romantic finish!
