			<description>If you haven't tried chicken noodle soup over mashed potatoes, I am sorry!  You will never go back.  It makes a creamy, delicious meal. I always make my recipe #407601 they really make a difference in the soup, 1 1/2 this recipe as you need more noodles.  I also use recipe#404067 for the potatoes, cut back a bit on the butter and milk when using in soup because all the liquid already gives it great flavor. As the name indicates, the cake is generally prepared, presented, and garnished so as to look like a log ready for the fire.

The traditional b&amp;ucirc;che is made from a G&amp;eacute;noise or other sponge cake, generally baked in a large, shallow Swiss roll pan, frosted, rolled to form a cylinder, and frosted again on the outside. The most common combination is a basic yellow sponge cake, frosted and filled with chocolate buttercream; however, many variations on the traditional recipe exist, possibly including chocolate cakes, ganache and espresso or otherwise-flavored frostings and fillings. B&amp;ucirc;ches are often served with a portion of one end of the cake cut off and set on top of the cake or protruding from its side to resemble a chopped off branch, and bark-like texture is often produced in the buttercream for further realism. It is a very tasty, not too hot chili that is just right for these cold winter days.  I added little cubes (less than 1/2-inch) of 3 uncooked chicken breasts to this chili about half way through the cooking for a little more protein, as though it needs it.  It didn't hurt one bit!  The author says this is a soupy chili but I did not find it so.  It has great flavor.  She cautions that the beans sink while the corn floats. Stew beef would be traditional and may be substituted, but the short ribs give it an additional unctuousness from their gelatin. (This could also be adapted for the crockpot - brown the meat, deglaze with the wine, then combine with the veg, spices and stock in the slow cooker. 			<description>I first had this at my aunt and uncle's, had never heard of split pea soup with anything other than ham in it.  Loved this, I definitely prefer spareribs to ham in this soup!  Boiling the ribs in the soup and then letting it simmer for hours leaves the meat more tender than the crockpot!  As written, it was a bit bland for our tastes, we added an extra tsp of the hickory salt and will try adding more peppercorns next time (I couldn't even taste the pepper this time). 			<description>I had never had Bread Pudding before I went to Vegas and had it at a buffet.  Well, I fell in love.  My obsession use to be chocolate, but since I've lost 52 lbs. I gave it up.  NOW, my obsession has become THIS version of Bread Pudding.  ( I have to be careful how much of this I make, so I don't gain all of that chocolate weight back!)    I found this recipe on the &amp;quot;Momswhothink.com&amp;quot; website and I hope it is ok to post it here.  This is true comfort food.  Do not over bake or you will lose the eggy texture of the bread.  The cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla are the key ingredients to the rich flavor of this dessert.  I use french bread, and have even used dry bread that has been sitting around a few days. I even used wheat french bread once and it turned out great!  The sauce is more a vanilla, butter, cream sauce.  I usually make about 4 times (yes, that is what I said!) in order to smother the bread pudding.   One recipe of it is just not enough.   Ummm.  Make the sauce while the pudding is baking and you will save time.  You can also use a Hard Sauce if you would rather.  (recipe # 102574 sounds like a good one.)  Even if you have never tried Bread Pudding, be daring, and try it.  I use to turn my nose up at it, and now, I cannot wait for an excuse to make it, again and again. 			<description>Take two frustrating attempts to make a different stuffed green pepper soup and a wonderful blizzardy day and you end up with a soup that mirrors a stuffed green pepper, exactly! There's nothing like dogged determination and lots of time to get something right. I wanted a  rich sweet pepper soup that had the delicate flavour of tomatoes and the ability to bite into a meat/rice mixture, just like a real stuffed pepper. This recipe is two parts: first, the Porcupine Meatballs, which can be made a day or two ahead. Then, the Tri-Colour Pepper Soup, which is a stand alone soup that I've been making, and enjoying, for years. 

If you enjoy a lot of meat, you might want to double the meatball recipe; for our tastes, this is perfect, with 4-5 meatballs served in each bowl. The taste of this soup is quintessential 1950's style Stuffed Green Peppers. If you can tolerate more heat, then jazz it up to your hearts content! This way, you won't find the recipe &amp;quot;too bland&amp;quot;, which is how we like it---pure comfort food straight from Leave It To Beaver. 

Enjoy the meatballs or enjoy the pepper soup, or, enjoy them blended together for the best of all worlds with this stuffed pepper soup!
