Tutti-Fruity Tofu Smoothie

If you would like to add some soy protein to your diet, this is a great smoothie--a really good way to get two serving of protein at one time. I am not vegetarian, just trying to eat healthy, so I use powdered milk and water, but you could substitute soy milk. I used firm tofu and it still turned out very smooth. It's a very versatile snack or meal-on-the-go. -- posted by Vicx Waters

Yummu Fruit Smoothie

My parents have always been seperated- at least as long as I can remember. And being raised by a single mother, I haven't had many great memories of my dad except the summer he took us to the beach in Pensacola (we lived in Chicago) and he took us to a smoothie shop. I had never had one in my life before that day and it was really good. Now that my father has passed, this is one of the good memories I have of him, and think of him while I enjoy these low fat, healthy smoothies. -- posted by BaBaGrLSheLL

Banana Peach Buttermilk Smoothie

I know alot of people turn up their nose, when they hear buttermilk, especially if it isn't being used in baking or something similar, I am the same. When my sister told me about this smoothie, I was not too thrilled, but it turns out to be very good, and doesn't have that bitter buttermilk flavor. And of course it's good for you, cultured dairy foods, like yogurt and buttermilk, keep your digestive tract healthy. -- posted by KittyKitty

this shake is really quick to make, and of course it's not just for breakfast! Keep banana slices in your freezer, to make one at any time. All you have to do, is toss fresh banana slices in lemon juice, and you can freeze bananas up to 6 months in a freezer bag.
This delicious and healthy treat has delighted all who've tried it! The unfrozen ripe banana provides a creamy base, negating the need for yogurt or cream.
Creamy Mango Parsley Green Smoothie

This green smoothie is like the dessert of green smoothies, haha. It is unbelievably creamy and delicious. And it leaves your mouth feeling so refreshed. Mangoes are really high in fiber and have lots of health benefits! I found a recipe similar to this in a book called Green For Life, but I altered it a tad. I find that people new to green smoothies might want to use a little less greens to start off, in order to get yourself acclimated to it. -- posted by Mimosas for Mr & Mrs

High Fiber, Low Calorie Raspberry Pear Green Smoothie

Green smoothies sound gross, but believe me, with fruit added, they are sweet and tasty, and unbelievably healthy. Not to mention you are getting lots of water, which helps fill you up more and studies show most Americans do not drink enough (thus making them more likely to eat more food.) Anyway, it's a really good and versatile drink, and I found a bunch of recipes that I've altered in a book I got called, Green For Life. Hope you enjoy! -- posted by Mimosas for Mr & Mrs

Raw Veggie Smoothie #1

Fruit smoothies have been so popular, but they also tend to be high in sugar. Why not switch to veggie smoothies? They provide so much nutrition and flavor without the sugar, naturally. I have been enjoying veggie smoothie variations for breakfast and it keeps me going until lunch time. A note on the flax meal: you can buy it milled at the store or use a separate coffee grinder to grind whole flax seeds fresh). -- posted by paphlovian

Veggie Green Drink

I came up with this one night after a long drive from New York to Philadelphia. All I had eaten were french fries, so I was desperate to get some greens into me fast! This drink took care of the craving right away. The stevia helps to blunt the harsh taste of the veggies. If you want to make it a soup, use less water and perhaps add some spices instead of the stevia. Also, the yogurt can easily be omitted if you are vegan or have dairy issues; just use less water, -- posted by Jainene

Raspberry-Peach Smoothie (Diabetic)

This recipe is from a health magazine and was created by a Diabetes Education Program Director. It has low glycemic index ingredients such as peaches, apples, milk and yogurt. The moderate glycemic index ingredients would be the raspberries and the high index item would be the honey. It is very yummy and not overly sweet! I think it favors a milk shake! They say feel free to sub out blueberries or strawberries for the raspberries. -- posted by JanuaryBride

Fiberlicious Smoothie

As a serious smoothie addict, I have done quite a bit of experimenting to make something both delicious and filling. While I do love smoothies with fresh fruit, this particular recipe works best with frozen fruit because of the addition of cereal. Play around with flavors of yogurt and fruit until you find a pairing that you love! My favorite is Dannon Light and Fit banana yogurt and frozen mixed berries (blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, and blackberries). If you want to make this low-carb, look for SoySlender brand soy milk, as it only has 1g net carbs per serving. -- posted by The Casual Gourmet
