4 3/4 stars edited. DH, DD & I liked this without raisins. I used 1 cup less rice milk to be dairy free for the milk (Im sure regular milk would be better) and 2 tbs tapioca flour before the recipe was edited to not include "cornflour", corn starch in Canada. Next time I will try without the "cornflour". I chose to include dark raisins the first time and orange blossom water. I tried it with cinnamon sprinkled on top but preferred it plain. I like the lite taste of orange blossom water in this and I will make it again without any raisins or cinnamon. Made a second time like the first time but without raisins. I used less than a cup of sugar but it was still too much. Next time I will begin with 1/2 cup sugar and add if need be. Made for Ramadan Tag.

This was a real hit with my DH. I used the orange blossom water and doubled the cinnamon. All else was by the book. I think I'll be making his beloved rice pudding this way all the time. It's surely a simple way to make it although it took quite a bit more than the given 25 mins (closer to and hour on very low heat) to get the rice as puffed and tender as it's preferred here. It was fun watching DH trying to figure out what the "different" flavor was but he said "it sure smells nice" :D. Thanks very much Jamila for this one, It's going into DH's cookbook.
