I've made this salad many times and it's great! I generally leave out the tabasco sauce. Also, put the dressing and almonds on just before serving.

A very yummy and sweet salad. I, too, did not carmelize the almonds, but the apple cider vinegar and sugar in the dressing added LOTS of sweetness. The kids loved this salad (probably because it was so sweet). Thank you for posting! Made for Gnome Tag.

Wow, this was great! The only thing I didn't do was to carmelize the almonds, I just had sliced almonds, which worked well. The vinegar worked really well with the salad and was perfect! Thanks NELady for posting
