Indian Summer Salad

(2 people found this helpful) Posted by silly sally

Delicious and fresh-tasting! The only change I made was to omit the green pepper as one of my kids doesn't care for it, and substitute with chopped cucumber. We all loved it. — silky Jun 7, 2004

Fairest Wheels (Chicken Pinwheels)

Posted by Rhonda *J*

Very tasty and easy to make. My family enjoyed this recipe and I will make it again. Like another interviewer, I will add more of the hot pepper jelly - can't get enough of that stuff! — silky Jun 7, 2004

Greek Lemon Chicken With Potatoes

(7 people found this helpful) Posted by evelyn/athens

Absolutely THE BEST chicken I've ever made! Bright, lemony flavour, just the right amount of garlic, and who would have thought that oregano could make anything this good? Oh, and the potatoes were outstanding. Buttery-soft inside, crispy... — silky Jun 7, 2004

Greek Potatoes (Oven-Roasted and Delicious!)

(2 people found this helpful) Posted by evelyn/athens

Fantastic! I made these yesterday for a simple pre-Easter dinner with roast chicken and all we did was eat up the potatoes. The chicken was definitely forgotten. Crusty and lemony. I loved the oregano. I will be making this easy recipe... — silky Apr 11, 2004

Tomato, Cucumber, & Avocado Sandwich

(2 people found this helpful) Posted by HeatherFeather

Excellent sandwich. I used seeded, whole-wheat rolls and the whole family ate them up. Good to take on a picnic too (keep ingredients in separate containers and make up sandwiches on the spot - they don't get soggy). — silky Aug 24, 2003

Shrimp a la King

This made a nice dinner and had an attractive presentation but it needed a little garlic perhaps? I will try it again. — silky Aug 24, 2003

Jello Melon Wedges

(1 person found this helpful) Posted by Bergy

This was a very popular fruity ending to a rich dinner the other day, especially with the kids. I had a green honeydew melon and used a packet of raspberry jello, which proved to be a great choice both as a flavor and color contrast. — silky Aug 24, 2003

1940's Coleslaw

My mom used to make a coleslaw like this one. Very, very good. The apple and cabbage combination works. I made the cooked dressing which was creamy and tangy. — silky Aug 22, 2003

"Pizza" Stuffed Potato

This was very tasty. I decided to double up the recipe and add some chopped pepperoni sausage and we made a full meal out of it. It is not filling enough for a mainmeal without it. — silky Aug 22, 2003
