Chicken Rancho

Posted by ihvhope

I think I must have done something wrong. The rice was very mushy. I did cover the dish, perhaps that was the problem, uncovering it for the last half hour. The flavor was subtle and the chicken moist, but the rice was disappointing. I will... — kit in NO Sep 29, 2009

Roasted Brussels Sprouts

Posted by JackieOhNo!

My husband doesn't like brussels sprouts, so I made this for me. I scaled the recipe down for one person and skipped the butter and it was still wonderful! I very seldom make something just for me and I'm so glad I made this! Thanks! — kit in NO Aug 23, 2009

Sour Cream Rye Bread (ABM)

(2 people found this helpful) Posted by Marie

This is an excellent recipe! I added 3 tbs of wheat gluten and 3 tbs caraway sead. I moved the dough to a bread pan, let it rise until doubled and baked it 1 hour at 350F. This was by far the perfect rye loaf. Thanks! — kit in NO Aug 24, 2008

These were so divine. What an easy recipe! I made the dough in a food processor (because I'm lazy). I did refrigerate the dough, but I had to let is sit at room temp before it was workable. I had a bit of trouble getting a couple of them from... — kit in NO Dec 14, 2007

The only reason that I didn't give this 5 stars is that I modifyed it by cutting the butter and garlic in half (only because I ran out of both). This won raves by everyone. This is a real winner with seafood (I served it with Trout Amandine.) I... — kit in NO Aug 4, 2007
