Peach Cake

Posted by Sydney Mike

Made with defrosted & drained unsweetened frozen peaches, and frozen orange juice. Baked in my convection toaster oven for 1 hour at 350 without the topping. Came out moist and flavorful! — RussianMama Sep 20, 2009

Made it with about 1/3 cup of lime juice in the seasonings and marinated the sliced meat for an hour in it. Cooked meat, reserved juice for red, green, yellow bellpeppers and onion. Sauteed till liquid was gone. Came out great! — RussianMama Sep 4, 2009

Corn on the Cob ( Cooked in the Old Ways)

Posted by southern chef in louisiana

Definitely flavorful and easy to shuck. Ours came out really chewy rather then crisp. Not sure if it was the corn or the 10 minute cook time. — RussianMama Aug 25, 2009

Easy and tasty recipe. My changes: remove skin so the chicken meat gets all the flavor, line pan w/ foil and olive oil. doubled the paprika, garlic powder and pepper. Bake for 15 minutes one side. 5-10 minutes on the other side. — RussianMama Aug 2, 2009

Coconut Chicken Curry - Crock Pot

Easy to make, delicious and tastes authentic. I added cumin as suggested and we ate it on basmati rice with coriander. Kids and hubby liked it and so did I. Next time will add more curry, cumin and hot sauce - because we like lots of flavor!... — RussianMama Jul 26, 2009

Beef Soft Tacos

Posted by John Clotfelter

I added cumin and 3 eggs to make fried corn tacos. They were good but could definitely use a larger dose of spice. I think this is a great base recipe, though! — RussianMama Jul 24, 2009

Whole Wheat Piadinas or Italian Flat Bread

This was fast, easy and great tasting. I made it with Lentil Soup #381745. My 1 yr old, 2 1/2 yr old and husband gobbled it up. I used olive oil in the dough and a generous amount for frying and they came out great. — RussianMama Jul 23, 2009

Moroccan Style Split Pea Soup

This is my new split pea soup favorite. As suggested by earlier reviewers, I more than doubled the spices (except for Paprika), put 2t salt , 1/3 lemon in with the rest of the ingredients and used turkey broth as the base. Absolutely tasty and... — RussianMama Mar 16, 2009

Low-Fat Homemade Turkey Soup

Fantastic. I used a raw turkey neck and simmered it for 3-4 hours - which made a very creamy broth, threw in some bay leaves and used 1 cup of barley instead of the pasta and added potatoes. We love this soup. — RussianMama Jan 27, 2009

Evacuation Tuna & Pasta Salad

Posted by Laurie & Roger

I have made this 4 times now and it is great every time. I have never made it with the lima beans, I usually just replace with peas. I put the cheddar cheese in a seperate container so it is optional. My 2 year old likes it and my husband, too! — RussianMama Jan 22, 2009

We tried to like it, but I think okra just is a bit too bland for our tastes. Perhaps it was because we used the frozen variety... — RussianMama Jan 22, 2009
