Beef Pho

Posted by André Grisell

I've never had pho before so I don't have a basis for comparison but regardless, this was really, really good! I was skeptical about the anise, cinnamon and raw beef but it really turned out well. The spices are not overwhelming and meld nicely... — That girl Mel Sep 4, 2009

Quick Sauteed Spinach

Posted by Monica120179

This was really good! Quick, easy, healthy and best of all, my family loved it! I don't think we'll ever eat frozen spinach as a side dish again. This was faster, tasted better, didn't have all the good stuff boiled out of it and didn't have a... — That girl Mel May 12, 2009

New Mexican Posole

Posted by Jerry Gaiser

This was wonderful! I've been making posole for 20 years and I always make it with green chile but after having a red version at a restaraunt, I decided to go red! This was just what I was looking for only I added about 10 dried chiles for a lot... — That girl Mel Dec 9, 2008

Baked Pancakes

Posted by Michelle Berteig

We really enjoyed this! It was more like a cake than a pancake and was not too sweet which was nice. It was absolutely phenomenal with blackberry syrup, blackberries and homemade whipped cream! Noting the reviews that called it dry I did double... — That girl Mel Aug 2, 2008

No Sugar Added Iced Coffee

(1 person found this helpful) Posted by Bergy

I liked this a lot too, however, I didn't use the sweetened condensed milk. I used 1/2 cup of my favorite flavored creamer instead, vanilla toffee caramel to be exact! Yummy!! — That girl Mel Oct 2, 2007

Tater Casserole for 10

(1 person found this helpful) Posted by Bergy

This was good! I made a few modifications. I added 1 1/2 lbs of browned ground beef and omitted the first 1/2 cup of butter. I sauteed the onions and celery with the beef and only cooked for 30 minutes. My family loved this! Thank you! — That girl Mel Sep 25, 2005

Coleslaw

Posted by Toby Jermain

Very good! The only adjustment I made was to use sour cream instead of the mayo and yogurt and I also added just a pinch of sugar. Myself and my daughter neither of whom like regular cole slaw both ate it up! My hubby raved over it as well!... — That girl Mel Jun 23, 2005

Paul Prudhomme's Sweet Hush Puppies

Posted by Lennie

I made this last night and while the flavor was wonderful, I had issues with the hush puppies staying together in the oil. I'm sure that I did something wrong but I'm not sure what. I'll try again and rate it next time! — That girl Mel Jun 23, 2005

Pesto

Very good recipe! I added a couple of pinches of kosher salt as well. A hint for those who can't find pine nuts or don't want to use them because of the cost - you can use pistachios instead and get a great flavor for a fraction of the cost.... — That girl Mel Apr 14, 2005

Peach Cobbler

(34 people found this helpful) Posted by ann hugo

I used 1/4 cup butter and I drained off about 1/3 of the juice in the peaches. Consistancy was very good, flavor was good, I just prefer that my cobbler have more crust/dough on top of it than this one did. One more hint, if you have all purpose... — That girl Mel Mar 27, 2005
