Shrimp Fettuccine in Garlic Cream Sauce

Posted by Tiny_Toodles

This was fabulous! I did change it a bit though. No anchovy paste ( I never have that on hand), and I added a splash of white wine. I omitted the onions, and used minced jarred garlic in place of whole. Overall, fastastic! Thanks! — The Miserable Gourmet Nov 17, 2009

Shepherd's Pie (Gordon Ramsay)

(1 person found this helpful) Posted by CamKayNic

I'm sorry but this is just way too much work for a casserole. All in one dishes are supposed to be quick and simple. This one is not. Here's a trick. Take mirepoix, beef or lamb cut into cubes, garlic. Saute until meat is brown, onion is tender.... — The Miserable Gourmet Sep 10, 2009

Mussels Marinara

Posted by HollyQ

This is a great basic recipe for mussels. I too like to add more garlic, and spices to kick up the flavor, but to say that a Jarred sauce of any kind would be better than homemade is just ludacris. Thanks for posting, I am making it again tonight! — The Miserable Gourmet Jun 8, 2009

Crab Meat Alma

Posted by Barefoot Beachcomber

This recipe is simple and delicious! I varied it a bit though, using regular yellow onion instead of green onions, and I omitted the cheese ( the last seafood thing I added cheese to was a disappointment, so I didn't want the same result with... — The Miserable Gourmet May 1, 2009

Pinto Beans and Ham Hocks

This sounds like a stellar recipe, only, I dont understand why you would discard the ham hocks? The flavor of the meat on the hock, separated from the done, is just fabulous! Please don't throw away that fantastic flavor. Pull the meat from the... — The Miserable Gourmet Apr 18, 2009

BisQuickie Cinnamon Rolls

(1 person found this helpful) Posted by Karen=^..^=

I will admit, I was skeptical aout making this. I am an excellent cook, but not a very good baker. I like to improvise too much. When I madethis I only had one cup of bisquick, and ended up using 1 1/2C Hungry Jack pancake mix (wasn't sure if it... — The Miserable Gourmet Mar 10, 2009

Fantastic Recipe!! I used a spoon or so extra butter and half and half, because I didn't have cream. And being Italian, I added about 1/4 cup grated Parmeseano Ramano cheese!! I also used some cornstarch to help it thicken. I used a bag of chopped... — The Miserable Gourmet Nov 13, 2008
