French Onion Steak With Mushrooms

(1 person found this helpful) Posted by Lainey6605

Very yummy. Couple small changes, reduced noodles to 6 oz & steaks to 1 1/4 lb which normally feeds 4 comfortably in our household. Cut the salt abit also. Everything came out perfect. I really enjoyed the mushroom sauce, thanks for sharing. — Mustang Sally 54269 Nov 12, 2009

Spinach Ricotta Frittata

(1 person found this helpful) Posted by PaulaG

I increased by 1 egg (actually egg beater equiv.) & about 2 oz of diced pepperoni. With the changes I found it could easily feed 4 people for breakfast. Enjoyed the flavours, thanks for sharing — Mustang Sally 54269 Nov 12, 2009

Bacon-Wrapped Cream Cheese Chicken Breast

Posted by KITTENCAL

Excellent recipe. I served it with bacon-rosemay mashed potatoes & norwegian x-mas cabbage. They went together really well. I cut the sauce in 1/2 & found it was still lots to put on the potatoes. Great dish to serve company, thanks for sharing. — Mustang Sally 54269 Nov 12, 2009

We enjoyed these pita sandwiches. For a change from our norm, I didn't change anything in this recipe. Easy, quick & tasty dish, thanks for sharing. — Mustang Sally 54269 Nov 11, 2009

Stuffed Peppers

Posted by metallichick

Very yummy peppers. I like the addition of the spinach but for once didn't have any so I sub'd kale & I had some cooked quinoa to use up so I used that in place of the rice. Both changes worked wonderfully for us. I prefer my pepper alittle... — Mustang Sally 54269 Nov 11, 2009

Makeover Tempting Tortellini & Ham

Posted by Shelby Jo

I've been looking for a homemade version of the parma rosa pasta sauce (pkg) that I make with ham & pasta... although I made a few changes, this is the one that helped me find the duplication. I sub'd yogurt for the cream & added 1 cup of tomato... — Mustang Sally 54269 Nov 10, 2009

Mexican Botana Platter

I first found this on Allrecipes also. I tried it today but it didn't quite work out as expected. Even though I put some hot jalpeno in with the peppers & salsa in with the refried beans I found this dish lacking for us in flavour. I also added... — Mustang Sally 54269 Nov 9, 2009

Southwest Spaghetti Squash

Fabulous recipe. It be awhile since I've had spaghetti squash, this was a nice treat. I pre-cooked the squash on parchment paper to save using extra oil. We really enjoyed the spices in this dish & I will definatly make this again, thanks for... — Mustang Sally 54269 Nov 8, 2009

Chicken and Tortellini With Parmesan Cream Sauce

Fabulous recipe. I was able to finally replace my electronic pressure cooker so I'm on the hunt again for good/great cooker recipes. I enjoyed the subtle, yet somewhat savory, flavour of the tarragon/parsley. We don't like real rich dishes so... — Mustang Sally 54269 Nov 7, 2009

Tasty tasty tasty. I'm usually not a big fan of stew type recipes but I really enjoyed this dish. I've made this a couple times, once in the slow cooker & once in my electronic pressure cooker. I use homemade gravy so each time the flavours... — Mustang Sally 54269 Nov 5, 2009

Dad's Chicken Soup

Very good soup and pretty easy to make. I used Ditalini pasta and found it the right amount for what the recipe called for. Update; adjusted this recipe for my (electronic) pressure cooker & it came out amazing. I browned the chicken abit & then... — Mustang Sally 54269 Nov 5, 2009

Gourmet Huevos Rancheros

Great recipe. Rather than individually frying the eggs I scrambled them. I also added abit of (cooked) crumbled sausage. I used homemade refried beans, mixed with 1 Tbsp of salsa. All I had was 10" tortillas so I put filling on 1/2 & after... — Mustang Sally 54269 Nov 5, 2009

Fabulous recipe. There might be quite a few ingredients & steps to this recipe but it is soooo worth it, especially if you are serving this to company. You can make the rolls ahead of time, prep the sauce & bake it when you are ready. If you are... — Mustang Sally 54269 Nov 1, 2009

Chef Tracey's Macaroni and Cheese

Very tasty recipe. We did change a few things to suit our preference. We don't like real creamy/goopy dishes so I sub'd 1/2 yogurt & 1/2 canned tomatoes for the cream. I was serving this as a side dish so I didn't add the chicken & therefore cut... — Mustang Sally 54269 Nov 1, 2009

I have to 1st say that I don't make alot of cakes. I needed one for a bday & had all the ingredients for this one. The cake tasted good but maybe not the best cake for a novice baker. I wasn't sure how long to cook the cake, tried 25 mins &... — Mustang Sally 54269 Oct 30, 2009

Nice recipe. I wasn't actually sure how much potatoe to put, my potatoes weren't really large so I put 2 medium (which = just under 1 lb) & that seemed to be just about right. I also guessed on the salt & pepper but I think I went alittle crazy... — Mustang Sally 54269 Oct 27, 2009
