Spinach and Pumpkin Curry

Posted by bluemoon downunder

I LOVED it! It is an absolute keeper. The first I made it I didn't have any spinach so I just left it out and it was still wonderful. Even my sister who normally is not so much into "foreign" food liked it. Thank you so much for posting. — #823189 Nov 15, 2009

Channa Masala

I loved this recipe! I did add some zucchini and red peppers though because I did not have enough chickpeas for the meal. Still it turned out wonderfull and I am sure to be making it again. Thank you so much for posting. — #823189 Sep 15, 2009

Southern Buttermilk Biscuits

Posted by P4

The biscuits were good. Unfortunatley they reminded me of rusks which are not my favorite cookie. If this were not the case I would give five stars. The texture is great and they are not too sweet which I really like. — #823189 Sep 8, 2009

Friends of mine asked me to cook African for them so I decided to make milktart for dessert. Unfortunatley I left my cookbooks in RSA when I moved here. This recipe is just like the one I remember and tastes wonderful. Thank you for posting. — #823189 Jul 28, 2009

Fruit Chutney (Zwt - South Africa)

Posted by twissis

I used fresh and dried fruits as I could not get some of the dried ingredients here. It is not Mrs. Balls Chutney but it is an excellent substitute! The only thing I will do differently next time is to blend 2/3 if the finished chutney as there... — #823189 Jul 28, 2009

Rabia's Punjabi Style Gobhi Aloo

I really liked it! I followed the recipe to the T the first time I made it. The 2nd time I added 1 1/2 tsp garam Marsala and 1 tsp cumin seeds. The taste turned out to be almost a little too much which goes to show that more is not always better.... — #823189 Jul 28, 2009

Herby Mushroom Sandwich Spread

Really good spread. I just added a splash of lemon juice to keep it from going brown the next day and a bit of salt. The flavours combine wonderfully. Definitely a keeper thank you for posting. — #823189 Jul 21, 2009

Harissa - Moroccan Hot Sauce

(1 person found this helpful) Posted by Chef Shadows

Delicious (but handle with care!). I can buy Harissa here as well mixed with cream cheese to be used as a sandwich spread-it costs a fortune and is not so versatile. I am very happy to have found this recipe! Thank you so much for posting. — #823189 May 21, 2009
