Cornbread, Simply Basic

Posted by Fauve

Ya know? This reminds me of the cornbread I have made since I was 10. I have made "fancier" versions over the years, but my family always prefers the basic one. — cmacooks Jul 31, 2005

Greek Pita Pizza

Posted by *Pixie*

I adore feta cheese! We don't ever put meat on our pizzas. I wonder, should this be called a calzone, though, since it's not "open"? Delicious, however.... — cmacooks Jul 31, 2005

Mystic Moon Pistachio Date Nut Loaf

Posted by 1Steve

This sounds so good for a luscious breakfast bread, or to be served with a cup of strong Greek or Turkish coffee. I really like this one! — cmacooks Jul 31, 2005

Crock Pot Ginger Beef Curry

(2 people found this helpful) Posted by Kharma

I used boneless leg of lamb instead of the beef, and it was awesome! I had a request for lamb curry for my parents' anniversary dinner, and found this recipe to be just the ticket. Thanks! — cmacooks Oct 26, 2004

Greek/Mediterranean Potato Salad

As I am not a big fan of mayo, I was intrigued by this recipe, and we had fun making it with the rest of our homegrown red potatoes! Thank you! — cmacooks Aug 3, 2003

Smoked Salmon and Egg Bake

(1 person found this helpful) Posted by JustJanS

I was finally able to really savor this recipe. We enjoyed it with some gruyere and provolone we had on hand, and the result was delicious. Thank you for a wonderful alternative to "lox and bagels"! — cmacooks Aug 3, 2003

Passover Chocolate Chip Cookies

(1 person found this helpful) Posted by Mirj

Since I didn't have any Passover baking powder, I eliminated this ingredient. I think I might have used 1 1/2 t baking soda; this made a very crunchy and almost lacy cookie. Wonderful! — cmacooks Apr 23, 2003
