Asian Pear Slaw

I loved this. Very refreshing, and light. A unique summer salad. I used sweet pepper chili sauce instead of the fresh hot chili peppers, and it was wonderful. For a little extra color I added some red grapes, they added great flavor too. The dish... — Brandi McClintic Sep 5, 2005

Autumn Pear / Apple Pudding Cake

EXCELLENT!!! I made this for a light dessert for our Labor Day get together. Everyone loved this. The next time, I think I may replace a portion of the water with some spiced rum....just to give it a little extra kick. GREAT, GREAT dessert. — Brandi McClintic Sep 5, 2005

Butternut Squash and Yukon Gold Gratin with Gruyere Cheese

(1 person found this helpful) Posted by Kirstin in the Couv

This recipe was excellent! I couldn't find butternut squash, so used acorn squash instead. I also blanched the squash and potatoes to cut down on the cooking time. It only took about 10 minutes for the cheese and breadcrumbs to cook to golder... — Brandi McClintic Apr 11, 2004

Fudge Rum Balls

(3 people found this helpful) Posted by Marg (CaymanDesigns)

This was very good. I would not say that it is "to die for", but VERY good. Very easy recipe and quick to make. Only downfall in preparation is that it is messy. When rolling the balls the batter/mix sticks to your hands. — Brandi McClintic Nov 28, 2003

Nutella Stix-N-Stones

YUMMY!!! This was a great recipe. Highly recommend. Question though...instead of chow mein noodles, has anyone tried recipe with mini pretzel stix? I think I may try that the next time I make this recipe. — Brandi McClintic Nov 28, 2003

Payday Balls

(10 people found this helpful) Posted by Mirj

The end result of this labor was delicious. However, there are a few things to note about this recipe. First of all, it comes no where near close to making 32. Unless the original recipe calls for balls the size of marbles. I made bite-sized... — Brandi McClintic Nov 28, 2003

Honey Pecan Chicken Cutlets

(5 people found this helpful) Posted by Mirj

When I first found this recipe, I noticed that everyone had been adapting it a bit to suit their own tastes. I had some cranberries, and thought that they would compliment the pecans really well. This was an absolutely delicious dish. I can't wait... — Brandi McClintic Dec 21, 2002
