Mock Tuna Salad (Chickpea Salad)

Posted by Charmed

Love this. I'm not a vegetarian but I think I actually prefer this to regular tuna salad. This has the benefit of tasting like tuna salad, but without the fishy aftertaste. Yum! — debarra Nov 15, 2009

Creamy Turkey Tetrazzini

Posted by PanNan

Everyone at dinner raved about this but I was a bit disappointed. I found the broth flavor a little overpowering and would cut back on that next time. — debarra Nov 8, 2009

Yummy Crunchy Caramel Apple Pie

Posted by Wendy W88

This is an amazing pie. I'm allergic to pecans, so I left those out, but I did make my own caramel sauce to pour on top and it was so delcious! Definitely use granny smiths--the pie calls for a lot of sugar; if I used any other kind of apple, I... — debarra Nov 8, 2009

Creamy Corn Casserole

Posted by Theresa P

Not bad, but oddly bland. I even added some onion salt to it, but next time might add some chopped peppers and cheddar cheese to give it more flavor. — debarra Nov 1, 2009

Lo Mein Like Evergreen

Posted by Redneck Epicurean

Like others have said, this is a very versatile recipe. I've added some sauteed cabbage and peas along with the carrots and onions and it gave it a nice crunch. — debarra Oct 27, 2009

Feuittetes Fromages Savory Puff Pastry Packages & Cheese

(1 person found this helpful) Posted by Bergy

These were yummy! I made them for a party and everyone gobbled them up. I couldn't get my puff pastry to roll out to 21" and had to wrestle with it a bit (I made these on a really humid day), but overall they were easy to make, and the flavor... — debarra Aug 26, 2009

Blueberry Muffins

Posted by Denise in NH

This is one of the best blueberry muffin recipes I ever had. I only used 1 1/2 c. of blueberries (I mashed the 1/2 c. and added it to the batter) and they turned out perfect. — debarra Aug 26, 2009

Zucchini Bread with Blueberries

Posted by sugarpea

Outstanding! I only used 1 3/4 c. sugar and felt that was just right. I also only used about 2 c. of fresh blueberries. The bread turned out moist and delicious. I love the touch of almond extract. — debarra Aug 26, 2009

Pasta Fazool (Pasta and Beans With Sausage)

Posted by KITTENCAL

Very good. I used ground turkey in place of the beef, but might leave it out altogether next time and just stick with the sausage. This is a very "meaty" casserole. Be prepared to freeze leftovers if you're not feeding 10 people for dinner! — debarra Aug 26, 2009

Pizza Dough for Thin Crust Pizza

I use this recipe all the time. It's so easy to make. I often use 1 cup of wheat flour in place of white for a more healthy crust. — debarra Aug 10, 2009

Honey Roasted Potatoes

Tasty. I double the ingredients for the sauce because otherwise it's a bit bland. Other than that, great recipe! — debarra Aug 10, 2009

Yummy! A nice alternative to beef tacos. The flavor was great. I used the leftover chicken and made an enchilada casserole with it. — debarra Aug 10, 2009

These are very rich, buttery muffins that are absolutely delicious. They don't last very long in my house because they get eaten so fast! — debarra Aug 10, 2009

Blueberry Pound Cake

(1 person found this helpful) Posted by Muffin Goddess

Very good. I substituted an equal amount of sour cream for the lemon yogurt. I added the grated rind of one lemon and a little extra lemon juice to make up for it, and it came out delicious. This isn't a very sweet cake, but is delicious with... — debarra Aug 10, 2009

Spanakopita (Greek Spinach Pie)

Posted by P4

Love this. Spanakopita is my favorite food, ever, and I really liked the flavor in this. I had to use dried dill, but otherwise made as is. I really liked the flavor the green onion gave this. The only thing I'd do differently next time is not... — debarra Jun 22, 2009

Provencal Potato Galette

Yum! I had to use dried thyme, as I had no fresh on hand, but it was delicious. A bit on the greasy side, next time I think I'll cook the bacon a bit more crispy and drain the fat off better. — debarra Jun 22, 2009
