Kittencal's Thick and Rich Creamy Tomato Soup (Low-Fat Option)

Posted by KITTENCAL

I thought this one was a little too much like eating spaghetti sauce. I thinned out my soup with the tomato sauce, but it was still like eating thinned out tomato sauce. Perhaps I will leave out the oregano next time....and try the V8, but sadly... — Crycket Nov 1, 2009

Copycat Swiss Chalet BBQ Sauce

Pretty darn close! I would add a bit more cornstarch, as the sauce was just a little too watery. Thanks for the share! — Crycket Jun 6, 2009

Delicious Crock Pot Barbecued Pulled Pork

(2 people found this helpful) Posted by KITTENCAL

Fantastic...I had never made pulled pork before, and this came out perfect! Ignored the Cayenne....and didn't have a crockpot, so I cooked it in the oven at 250 F for 7 hours...it was perfect! — Crycket Apr 6, 2009

My Own Cube Steak and Gravy

Posted by Marsha D.

Used chicken instead of beef...and since there was really no meat drippings with the chicken, I added about a tablespoon of garlic butter to the mushroom soup/milk. Baked in the oven rather than simmer on the stovetop (mainly for space reasons)... — Crycket Dec 11, 2008

DH loved this... A little too much heat for me...but that is just to reduce the red pepper flakes next time! — Crycket Aug 14, 2008

Amazing Wild Rice & Mushroom Chicken Bake

Posted by Jim Trebilcox

It was good but way too salty. If I do try it again...I might just use actual onion instead of the powder, and reduced sodium soups. The wine was a little overpowering for me, so I might use only half as much next time... Otherwise, enjoyable...! — Crycket Jul 26, 2008

Very tasty....I threw in some sesame seeds at the very end...just because we had them around for presentation... Will do this one again! — Crycket Jul 13, 2008

Mushroom Chicken

Posted by *Pixie*

DH doesn't like soya sauce on its own, and I am not a big fan of green onion, but this was amazing! I might use a reduced sodium chicken broth next time...It was perfect with the normal broth, but less sodium is always good! Cut our chicken in... — Crycket Jul 1, 2008

Lemon Lemon Garlic Chicken

Posted by fluffernutter

Lemon was way too overwhelming for my taste...it was like eating a chicken textured lemon.... I can see how garlic and lemon blend nicely though.... — Crycket Apr 12, 2008

Harry Potter Hot Butterbeer

(1 person found this helpful) Posted by darthlaurie

This is a good receipe, but subbing the cream for one Lifesavers Butterum melted into a mug makes a really nice flavour, and a cute little fizz when added — Crycket Dec 1, 2007
