Baked Potato Soup

(1 person found this helpful) Posted by evelyn/athens

My husband requested potato soup at the last minute, so I used your directions but boiled the potatoes & prepared it all on the stove top in 30 minutes. It was incredible! Thanks! — Treva W Jul 23, 2009

Chicken Salad for Sandwiches

(1 person found this helpful) Posted by ellie_

I used meat from some fried chicken we had left over, so it wasn't boiled with onion & celery. But it was still great using the last 3 steps in your recipe. Great way to use left over chicken! Thanks! :D — Treva W Jul 16, 2009

Creamy Macaroni and Cheese

(1 person found this helpful) Posted by ratherbeswimmin'

What a great recipe! My 3 year old REALLY wanted mac & cheese for lunch today, so I made due with what I had on hand. I didn't have any half & half, so I used a can of evaporated milk instead. (I figured that's what I use with gravy, so it was... — Treva W Mar 28, 2009

Best Pumpkin Cookies

Posted by Sara in FL

I've had a can of pumpkin in my cabinet since November, and I gave this a whirl as a result. I am SO glad I did. These cookies are so light and...cloud like. They also make your house smell great as you're baking (always a cool bonus!) — Treva W Feb 20, 2009

Wonderful Salsa

My husband is allergic to green peppers, so I tried this highly praised recipe without them. It was still great & it still tasted like salsa! Thanks for sharing! — Treva W Sep 2, 2008

I made with hershey's cinnamon chips I'd had around forever (b/c I couldn't find a good recipe for them.) This was excellent! Thanks for such a delicious & simple recipe. I love it that it's rated so high & yet has very basic ingredients. — Treva W Aug 20, 2008

Best Cream of Broccoli Soup

Posted by Barb Gertz

I just threw all of the ingredients in the crock pot in the morning, set on high, & then served for lunch. This was an easy way to fix your excellent soup for me. I recommend others try the same approach. Thanks for this great recipe Barb! — Treva W Aug 13, 2008

Roasted Chicken and Vegetables

I changed recipe quite a bit based on what I had on hand, but it was GREAT. I used broccoli & cauliflower in addition to what your recipe calls for (left over from a baby shower veggie tray) And I used beef & onion soup mix with boneless chicken... — Treva W Jun 23, 2008

Ice Cream Cone Cupcakes

(1 person found this helpful) Posted by Lennie

I took this to a recital (everyone was asked to bring treats) & they were gone before anything else! I baked as long as I could without burning them, & there was no problem with sogginess when they were eaten 4 hours later. I also baked in a... — Treva W Jun 8, 2008

Raspberry-Filled White Chocolate Bars

(1 person found this helpful) Posted by Sharlene~W

Yummy! Wow, I loved these. I cut the recipe in half and made in a small loaf pan. I didn't need to tinker with the recipe at all. I used raspberry freezer jam that I made this past summer. This kind of jam is less sweet, so perhaps that's why... — Treva W Apr 12, 2008

Olive Garden Chicken Scampi Yummy! - Copycat

Posted by kiwidutch

To make it easier I made the white & scampi sauce all at once, just adding the ingredients for the scampi once the white sauce was ready. It was a bit thin, so I added 3/4 cup of grated parmesan. This gave it somewhat of an alfredo flare, but it... — Treva W Apr 12, 2008

YummyI I didn't actually have all of the needed ingrediants on hand, so I substituted evaporated milk for the cream and I used spinach instead of the kale. It worked out great! Thanks for sharing this recipe! — Treva W Mar 23, 2008

Super! I called it "pizza pasta," since some of the men in my life snub casseroles. With the new title, it was warmly received & enjoyed! — Treva W Feb 22, 2008

Martha Stewart's Pumpkin Soup in a Pumpkin

(2 people found this helpful) Posted by Lennie

I LOVE this recipe! It really looks chic. I used smaller pumpkins from my garden and made individual serving bowls by cutting them in half. I cut a thin slice from bottom of "bowls," so that they would set flat on the table. — Treva W Oct 29, 2007
