Vegetarian Corn Chip Casserole

Posted by OceanLuvinGranny

This was REALLY tasty! I used mexican flavored veggie crumbles (like a veggie version of ground beef) and for the garnish just used sour cream, green onion and olvies. Salsa might also be good! This was a lot like a taco salad at the end. — BurgundyS Jun 17, 2009

So Easy Sweet and Sour Chicken Bake

Posted by KITTENCAL

This was fabulous! I made only 2 chicken breasts and used 1/3 cup of each - just decreased the soy sauce a bit based on another review - and two cloves of garlic (we are garlic lovers). I had plenty of "sauce" to spoon over the chicken at the end... — BurgundyS Jun 9, 2009

Teriyaki Sauce

(1 person found this helpful) Posted by Theresa P

Really good! I added an extra clove of garlic, a bit of extra sugar and a few dashes of rice vinegar. I also used powdered ginger - just about 1/4 tsp worked for our tastes. Served it over brown rice, tofu and bok choy. Delicious! — BurgundyS Jun 2, 2009

Balsamic Green Beans

Posted by Dana-MMH

I wasn't sure how I'd feel about cold green beans but these were delicious! I definitely put in more vinegar and decreased the olive oil a bit, but that's just my personal tastes. Really good recipe - thank you! — BurgundyS May 31, 2009

Simple Side Dish With Red Skinned Potatoes

Posted by diner524

These really did come out perfectly - and so easy! Instead of butter I sprayed mine with pam olive oil spray. I also used about a 1/2 tsp of garlic seasoning, 1/4 tsp pepper and 1/4 tsp salt. The times you gave were perfect! Thanks! — BurgundyS May 31, 2009

Portabella Mushroom With Spinach and Feta Lasagna (Vegetarian)

Posted by KITTENCAL

I can't give this anything less than 5 stars as I made it on Thurs night and my husband has been happily eating the leftovers every meal since! Loved the combo of cheese, feta and portabella mushrooms - really excellent. We also used store-bought... — BurgundyS May 30, 2009

Potluck Portion -- Cottage Cheese Summer Breeze Salad

Posted by CookBookCollector

This was great! I cut the recipe down to just make a lunch for myself and it was fantastic. Used fat free cottage cheese, a red bell pepper (taste pref) and also added in some chopped green onions. Delicious and healthy! — BurgundyS May 28, 2009

Overnight French Toast Cream Cheese Casserole

Posted by Recipe Reader

I don't want to do stars since I made a lot of changes, but it didn't really work for me. I halved it like so many suggested, but 6 eggs was too many because after 40min it was very brown on top but still kinda soggy-gross. I also kept 1/3 cup... — BurgundyS May 28, 2009

Crunchy Asian Lettuce and Noodle Chicken Salad

Posted by KITTENCAL

This was an easy salad and had a nice crunch to it. However, even adding in an extra can of mandaran oranges and extra green onions, we found it a bit too bland for our tastes. Also too oily. I will play around with the dressing ingredients and... — BurgundyS May 26, 2009

Best Ever Banana Cake With Cream Cheese Frosting

Posted by Rhonda *J*

I didn't think this cake could possibly live up to the hype but it really is THAT good! I did the freezer trick and whether it was due to that or not, the cake was very moist. I also made the frosting as stated (didn't halve it) but used only one... — BurgundyS May 25, 2009

Kittencal's Quick 5-Minute Chinese Noodles

Yum! I also added in some mushrooms as I needed to use them up, but otherwise made exactly as written. I thought it was the perfect amount of soy sauce and loved the little crunch from the green onions. It was so easy and made a delicious lunch! — BurgundyS May 19, 2009

Tomato and Artichoke Chicken Breasts

Posted by jovigirl

My husband and I give this five stars, and it was so easy! Based on others' reviews, I made the following changes: 1) I cooked the chicken with two cloves of minced garlic, 2) I only put in about 3/4 of the amount of balsamic (and I love balsamic... — BurgundyS May 16, 2009

Summer Veggie Pasta Dinner

This was excellent and I will definitely make it again! I made it exactly as written and at first I was a bit worried there wouldn't be enough sauce for the pasta, but it turned out perfectly. Thanks! — BurgundyS May 15, 2009

Couscous Summer Salad

(1 person found this helpful) Posted by Mirj

I loved this! I subbed raisins and olive oil and also added some chopped almonds. It made a ton (6-8 servings) and the flavor is really subtle and delicious. It's a perfect summer dinner. The only thing I'd do differently next time is chop the... — BurgundyS May 12, 2009

I have not tried these myself but my husband gave them 4 stars. I upped the butter to 3/4 cup as some comments suggested and they baked for about 9 minutes. Thanks for a great recipe! — BurgundyS Mar 25, 2009

This is a good, basic dish. I honestly don't understand all the 5 star reviews though - that is the reason I gave a 3. It's good, but not spectacular. — BurgundyS Mar 17, 2009

Lower Fat Oatmeal Molasses Cookies

Posted by Chris from Kansas

These are very yummy for a low-fat cookie. I had the same problem as some others with the dough not sticking together, but I ended up just squishing it together with my hands and they came out good! =) — BurgundyS Mar 12, 2009

Cinnamon Cookies

After all the buildup of the great reviews - I think I expected something spectacular. These were good little cookies and definitely easy to make, but there was nothing mind-blowing about them. Definitely best right out of the oven! — BurgundyS Mar 8, 2009
