Fortune Cookies

Posted by xpnsve

Whew! These taste delicious but out of 12, I got 3 nice cookies on my LAST batch. You have to get them folded IMMEDIATELY out of the oven or they crack open and it takes patience and force of WILL! Mine took 7 minutes to bake at 350. Good Luck! — lynmoz May 27, 2009

Norwegian Cookies

Posted by LAURIE

These were fantastic! I left the dough in the fridge overnight & it was still very easy to work with. I made the first batch of 12 and my three guests watching television ate them ALL in two minutes. I'm making another 4 dozen for Easter. Thanks... — lynmoz Apr 11, 2009

Bacon-Wrapped Rosemary Chicken

(1 person found this helpful) Posted by Sharlene~W

Definitely easy to make! I pounded my chicken breasts and broiled the bacon for 2-3 minutes in the toaster oven first. Mine was actually just a bit overcooked at 425 for 15 then 375 for 15 so watch it carefully! I'll use a meat thermometer next... — lynmoz Nov 19, 2008

Balsamic Maple Glaze Salmon

(1 person found this helpful) Posted by Chef Dudo

Followed other suggestions and doubled the sauce. I used fresh squeed orange juice & grade b maple syrup. The glaze is tough to work with if it cools so make sure you have the salmon ready to coat. I used salmon steaks and cooked them on cedar... — lynmoz Nov 19, 2008

Wendy's Copycat Chili

(1 person found this helpful) Posted by Molly53

Excellent! Just like the real deal. One note, to make it more like Wendy's Chili, you have to leave the ground beef in chunks when you break it up. I used a bit less chili powder since it was my own mix and I substituted red peppers instead of green. — lynmoz Nov 18, 2008

Down Home Grilled Hamburgers

(1 person found this helpful) Posted by Daydasa

Very tasty! I doubled the recipe and made a few substitutions based on what I had on hand. I used one small yellow onion and I softened it in the skillet with a garlic clove before mixing it with the beef. I also used McCormick's steak seasoning... — lynmoz Oct 27, 2008

Banana Caramel Chocolate Won Tons

(1 person found this helpful) Posted by chef FIFI

Oh, these made me look like the queen of chefdom. I didn't add sugar, just put the bananas inside and topped with confectioner's sugar & cinnamon. I pressed the edges with a fork to give them a real pastry look. My DBF thought they came out of a... — lynmoz Sep 2, 2008

Pork (Chicken, or Shrimp) Fried Rice

(2 people found this helpful) Posted by Tee Lee

Fantastic recipe! I made it exactly as written and had no trouble at all. I shredded the carrots and used white rice. The eggs weren't mushy for me, maybe my wok was hotter? Rave reviews from all! Thank you! — lynmoz Sep 2, 2008

Seasoned Red Potatoes

Lovely side dish! I quartered large red potatoes and subbed 2T of minced garlic instead of the powder. Smelled terrific roasting & everyone gobbled these up. Served with #177488, Filet Mignon With Whiskey Cream Sauce. Thanks! — lynmoz Aug 28, 2008

Lovely little muffins! I wanted to use up some leftover sweet potatoes and found this recipe. I cut the suar to 1c and subbed 1/2c white, 1/2c wheat, & 1/2c oat bran. Super flavor but mine flattened out too. I sprinkled colored sugar on top for a... — lynmoz Apr 27, 2008

Beautiful Waffles! I used 1 1/4c white flour, 3/4c wheat flour, 1/2c oat bran & 4 egg whites. I whipped up the egg whites first and cut the oil to 1/4c. These were great topped with fresh strawberries. It was wonderful to serve something healthier... — lynmoz Apr 27, 2008

Armenian Herb Marinade Grilled Chicken Breasts

(2 people found this helpful) Posted by Stacky5

I used this with chicken and marinated about 30 hours before throwing on the grill. It came out VERY salty, I'll omit next time. Otherwise great, picky boyfriend loved it. Served with grilled zucchini & corn. Leftovers are terrific for salads! — lynmoz Apr 20, 2008

All RIGHT! These are the perfect company dish! I halved the recipe and added yellow instead of green peppers and green onion instead of yellow since I like the milder flavor of green onions in omelets. I also replaced the sausage with 4oz canadian... — lynmoz Mar 23, 2008
