100% Whole Wheat Blueberry Muffins

(1 person found this helpful) Posted by Carole Reu

These are wonderful! I'm glad I didn't add salt, this has enough flavor on it's own. I used fresh blueberries, and concocted buttermilk with skim and lemon juice. This is going into my recipe box under favorites. — Melany * Oct 27, 2006

Banana Muffins

Posted by Vicki in AZ

GREAT muffins! I did make a few replacements: whole wheat flour for white; 1.5 cups chocolate chips instead of raisons or nuts; margarine instead of butter. These were very moist, fluffy, and all of that other good stuff. I will be making these... — Melany * Jul 9, 2006

Grilled Portabella Mushrooms

(2 people found this helpful) Posted by Mini R.

GREAT RECIPE! I did not use basil (had none), but replaced it with cajun seasoning. Turned out very tasty. I grilled this on my George Foreman grill. I will try this again with the basil. — Melany * Mar 12, 2004

Great sauce! and the more garlic, the better. I scaled this down to 2 servings, and served with a salad and baked potato. — Melany * Sep 14, 2003

Fried Zucchini

(1 person found this helpful) Posted by ** Poppy **

This is great! I added 1tsp of salt, and 1/2 tsp of pepper (also 1/4 cup of water). Next time I'll add other spices like hot curry, or garlic. Thanks. — Melany * Sep 14, 2003

Cream Cheese Frosting

(3 people found this helpful) Posted by Monkeygirl1628

I followed directions, only I used low fat cream cheese and low fat margarine, like suggested by other reviewers. The result tasted good, but it was very runny, not like any cream cheese frosting I've had. Next time I'll add 2 8oz packages of... — Melany * Sep 10, 2003

Carrot Cake (Low Fat)

(2 people found this helpful) Posted by Amber of AZ

This didn't taste bad, just not like a regular carrot cake. It was very heavy. I don't think I'll make this again. — Melany * Sep 10, 2003

Rice Pudding

(1 person found this helpful) Posted by Cheryl E

Very good rice pudding recipe! I had left over rice from dinner, so I made it with that, it still turned out perfect. This was very creamy, and I'll make it again, thanks (I like to eat it hot right off of the stove) — Melany * Aug 16, 2003

Dumplings

(20 people found this helpful) Posted by Christine Bettiga

These are the best!I've tried to make dumplings before, but they came out rock hard. These were light, fluffy, and delicious. I added a half tsp of chicken bullion granules to the milk, and upped the salt to 1/2 tsp. Perfect! I will use these... — Melany * Jun 24, 2003

Chicken and Rice

(3 people found this helpful) Posted by Kim1

this wasn't bad. in the future, i won't put in any additional salt, as it was too much with the cream of mushroom. I will also lower the amount of onions. — Melany * Jun 18, 2003

Orange Marmalade Muffins

(1 person found this helpful) Posted by Kim1

I expected a sweeter, marmalade tasting muffin. this was too plain. i had to serve them with orange marmalade on top to get them to taste remotely like O.M. This isn't a bad recipe, the muffins came out well, and would make a decent plain... — Melany * Jun 18, 2003

Pork Chops with Applesauce

(1 person found this helpful) Posted by LisaGay

the words of my boyfriend: "this is the best applesauce pork chops I've ever had" and it was! the chops came out moist and tender. I used apple juice, not wine, but i'll try that out too. i served it with a potato, and salad. this is a definate... — Melany * Jun 18, 2003

Baked Italian Chicken

Posted by MizzNezz

I'm sorry, I just didn't care for this. It wasn't bad, but the flavor didn't get into the chicken at all, and despite all of the seasoning, the crust wasn't very good. I wouldn't make it again. — Melany * Jun 18, 2003

What a wonderful dish! Despite the many spices, this was not overwhelming. I served this with a large green salad, and a side of garbanzo bean salad. I'll be making this again, thanks. — Melany * Jun 11, 2003

Sweet and Sour Pork

Posted by Carol :)

I cut this recipe in half, added carrots and celery, and took out the green peppers. All in all, this was a very very tasty dish! But, didn't taste very sweet and sour, more like sweet and savory. We will make this again, thanks! — Melany * May 19, 2003

If I could give this ten stars, I would! Put all of my favorite foods together (especially ginger, garlic, and pineapple), and beef-my SO's favorite food, and you have a dish that we'll make over and over again. I like the mixed heat of the ginger... — Melany * May 7, 2003
