Chicken Curry in a Hurry

Posted by Sue L

My first attempt at making a curry dish at home and it was so simple. I agree with another reviewer the recipe needs the sweetness of the raisins. I also added a small bit of brown sugar to balance out the heat. Will repeat often. — Zetty66 Oct 29, 2009

Mexican Pork and Sweet Potato Stew

Posted by justcallmetoni

Perfect fall comfort food! The only change I made was to substitute a can of pinto beans for the corn. Can't wait for dinner! — Zetty66 Oct 29, 2009

Italian Sausage, Peppers and Pasta

(1 person found this helpful) Posted by Michelle Figueroa

This will be a repeat at my house! The kids always want pasta and this is a nice way to change it up for my husband and I. I couldn't find the mentioned brand of jarred sauce, so went with a Newman's Own variety--worked fine. Also used only red... — Zetty66 Oct 29, 2009

Lemon Chicken Rice Soup

Posted by Sackville

Perfect for a rainy day! I cheated and used shredded rotisserie chicken and also substituted brown rice. Added a little extra lemon for great flavor. This was my first time adding eggs to soup for thickness and I had no problem! — Zetty66 Oct 15, 2009

"wolfpack" Pork Sandwich

Posted by Team Snake Chef

This was so good! The marinade flavored through nicely after only 8 hours so I assume it will be even better if marinaded overnight as suggested. The aioli was mildly flavored, next time I'll increase the horseradish and make it ahead for the... — Zetty66 Oct 12, 2009

Pesto for Freezing

Posted by Noobin

It's Saturday night and I feel so bad for the people that ate at a restaurant and were not only disappointed by the food but also by the high cost. We made this pesto with the abundance of basil in our garden and served it over homemade pasta... — Zetty66 Oct 3, 2009

Chicken Burritos Grande

Posted by Little Suzy Homemaker

I'd give this more than 5 stars. Made a few changes--used chicken breasts and boiled them, then shredded them. Left the fresh tomatoes out because there was already a lot of tomato in it. Changes I'll make next time: not add the lettuce before... — Zetty66 Sep 25, 2009

Spicy Tomato Jam

Posted by PaulaG

What a fun, different way to use all those summer tomatoes. Mine's got quite a kick after using 4 jalapenos (didn't have serranos) but it's balanced by the sweetness of the sugar. This will be a great appetizer with crackers and cream cheese. — Zetty66 Sep 23, 2009

Red Snapper Parmigiana

Posted by LolaG

Very good fish. I reduced the amount of flour by half and subtituted with bread crumbs. Also added a little lemon juice to the marinade for extra flavor. — Zetty66 Sep 21, 2009

Grape Jelly

(1 person found this helpful) Posted by Darlene Summers

Excellent jam. The only thing I changed was to decrease the amount of sugar as another reviewer had recommended. My grapes were sweet enough to require less sugar. — Zetty66 Sep 12, 2009

Lemon & Honey Marinated Mahi-Mahi W/ Glaze

Posted by GenYChef

Great mahi-mahi recipe. The marinade turned into glaze really adds to the fish. I grilled mine and will use leftovers in an asian inspired salad for lunch. — Zetty66 Aug 23, 2009

Prosciutto Roasted Figs

(1 person found this helpful) Posted by Mysterygirl

These were really good, the salt of the proscuitto nicely balances the fresh ground pepper. Make sure you use good quality blue cheese so that flavor comes through as well. I cooked mine on the grill in a pan that slightly lifted the figs off... — Zetty66 Aug 23, 2009

Pickled Cabbage and Peppers

Posted by dianegrapegrower

Since we were grilling hot dogs for the 4th of July, I couldn't wait the full 3 weeks to open the first jar. Glad I didn't wait, it was quite a hit. Can't wait to see how much better it gets with some sitting time. UPDATE: 8/10/09 Entered this... — Zetty66 Aug 11, 2009

Dijon Chicken Mushroom Stroganoff

Posted by flower7

Even with the addition of some extra pepper and some worcestershire sauce, this was still quite bland. It needs something to kick it up. Sorry. — Zetty66 Jul 24, 2009

Zesty Oven Baked Fries

Posted by Marie

These were really good and easy to make. No more Ore Ida greasy fries for us. The only thing I might change is to add the parmesan later. The melted cheese made some of my fries stick together. — Zetty66 Jul 24, 2009

Chocolate Banana Chocolate Chip Bundt Cake

Posted by momaphet

Yummy, moist, and chocolatey cake. I don't have a bundt pan either so cooked it in a 9x9 pan. Took about 40-45 min to cook. Would be great with vanilla ice cream! — Zetty66 Jul 22, 2009

Oven Roasted Corn on the Cob

Posted by Chef PotPie

My neighbor made her corn this way last night for our cul-de-sac potluck. Not only was it really moist and tasty, but the husks helped keep the corn warm longer. — Zetty66 Jul 5, 2009

Chicken Marengo

Very good chicken dish for company or family. Only alteration I made was to use the chicken breasts without cutting them up. Loved the basil in it! — Zetty66 Jun 25, 2009

Spinach Dip II

Posted by Ruth Dearing

Very good flavored dip. The water chestnuts add a nice crunch. I recommend mixing it together the day before so the veggies in the soup mix have time to re-hydrate. Served with Kings Hawaiin bread — Zetty66 May 26, 2009
