Kettle Corn

Posted by James Plourd

I'm clearly missing something because all I get is severely burned "sugar" that has turned jet black. I end up with charcoal popcorn. Tried this twice. Is there some trick the recipe is leaving out? I wish it was a little more specific so I could... — Aisha al Saieed Jul 16, 2009

Courgette Veloute

Posted by Aileen2

This was fast and easy to make, and it tasted good. Definitely a keeper! Did I mention it was easy? There are a lot of vitamins packed into this and a very low calorie content. Love it. — Aisha al Saieed Mar 12, 2009

South Beach Muffin

It's bread! It's really bread! I am astonished! It came out fluffy, moist, and soft. I'll be making this again. — Aisha al Saieed Jan 29, 2009

South Beach Snack Phase 1 " Pizzas "

Posted by SSgtballard

This seems like a fun idea, but the tomato slices turn to complete mush under the broiler and you're left with a tomato pesto soup rather than little slices. It still tasted ok, but I think this should be prepared as a sauce and treated as such. — Aisha al Saieed Jan 10, 2009

Persian Eggs Poached in Tomato Sauce

(1 person found this helpful) Posted by justcallmetoni

I had a hard time getting the egss to come together, but in the end this was good. Tomato "sauce" wasn't bvery exciting so I threw in a bunch of dried sage into the onion mix at the start. This was good. — Aisha al Saieed Jan 6, 2009

Lemon-Garlic Greens Saute

Posted by Eat Your Vegetables!

Just made a mini-batch of this for lunch. Mustard greens and garlic and oil in a microwave safe bowl, heated until frozen mustard greens were thawed and hot, added some lemon juice, heated for a minute or so more. Delicious single serving size.... — Aisha al Saieed Jan 5, 2009

South Beach Diet Breakfast Crepes With Ricotta Cocoa Filling

Posted by TheDancingCook

I found this unappetizing. It is creative but the gritty texture of the ricotta in this particular dish is unpleasant to the point where I almost didn't finish it. I know I'm on a diet and I appreciate the idea but this is the least tasty SBD... — Aisha al Saieed Jan 5, 2009

Broccoli Chicken Dijon (south Beach Diet)

Posted by Mindi Bunch

This is remarkable! I used frozen broc, thawed it in the skillet and threw the garlin and oil in there with it. After it was thawed, I went on with the recipe. Great great great! I will eat this even when I'm off South Beach! — Aisha al Saieed Jan 4, 2009

Chickpea & Peanut Stew

(1 person found this helpful) Posted by yogi

Very nice. I agree with the person who said it just didn't have enough flavor (this is probably largely dependent upon what brand of broth you use) so I added some MSG. It was the perfect thing. This was awesome! — Aisha al Saieed Jul 24, 2008

Quickest South Beach Breakfast

Posted by Boonyas mom

This is so easy to make! My favorite variation is to top it off with Phase-1 friendly taco filling (I know it sounds weird, but this recipe really is incredibly versatile!) Thanks! I get tired of those egg muffins, too, sometimes! — Aisha al Saieed May 17, 2008

Zucchini Lasagna (Lasagne) - Low Carb

Posted by Marg (CaymanDesigns)

This was great! I made a vegetarian version, without the beef, but it still tasted GREAT! It would probably be even better with the beef, which is hard to imagine. I had never tried cottage cheese in a lasagna, either, but it works so well in this... — Aisha al Saieed Aug 4, 2007

South Beach Peanut Butter Cup

I couldn't believe that I was eating this while on a diet! Thanks for your creativity — the recommended desserts in the diet book are all mashed-up ricotta cheese mixed with weird stuff, and this is a very refreshing alternative. Thank you! — Aisha al Saieed Aug 4, 2007

Wow! Wow wow wow wow wow! Ok, while I was making this, the entire time I kept tasting it and nibbling at it, and I thought "Hmm. This is nice." Right at the end when its been simmering for 20 minutes and you add the lemon and cilantro, the... — Aisha al Saieed Jul 26, 2007
