Creamy Saffron Mussels

(1 person found this helpful) Posted by evelyn/athens

This is a great quick meal--the creamy broth is luscious. As a personal preference I would decrease or omit the cumin next time — bobo3039 Nov 18, 2009

Chile Colorado Meatballs

Posted by Julesong

These were just so good! I also used El Pato tomato sauce and omitted the hot sauce because I found that to be plenty spicy! — bobo3039 Nov 17, 2009

Authentic Italian Meatballs

Posted by ~In*Memory*of*Brats~

Good meatballs. I think next time I would add more salt and fresh garlic. I baked mine in a 400 degree oven for about 30 minutes. — bobo3039 Nov 14, 2009

Very nice. I added some garlic and also a bit of cream sherry just for a little something extra. — bobo3039 Nov 13, 2009

Civilized Barbacoa (Smoked Chuck Roast)

Posted by Red Apple Guy

I made this in a crockpot as it was a little cold outside for the smoker. Added some hickory smoke flavoring to the mix to mimic smoking, but you just can't beat the real thing. It was good, but I wouldn't use the crockpot method again. — bobo3039 Nov 9, 2009

Chunky Mushroom Barley Soup

Posted by kzbhansen

This was very good but subtly seasoned. I added some milk and poultry seasoning as well as an additional chicken bouillion cube. I like the idea of sauteing the onion and mushrooms in butter as I think that would add more flavor too. — bobo3039 Nov 7, 2009

Nicely seasoned! I think this would also work well with less oil to make them even healthier. — bobo3039 Oct 31, 2009

Garlic Shrimp Pasta

Posted by Jessica K

I made a mistake and dumped all the pasta water so had to add more butter. That wasn't a bad thing! This is just excellent. — bobo3039 Oct 27, 2009

Amy's Homemade All Day Spaghetti Sauce

Posted by Vamy

I didn't follow the recipe exactly as I wanted a smaller amount so used only a 6 oz can of tomato paste and omitted the 14.5oz can of tomatoes. The result was a nice, tasty and thick sauce! Excellent. — bobo3039 Oct 11, 2009

Blue Cheese Stuffed Pork Loin Chops

(1 person found this helpful) Posted by FlemishMinx

I wish I had used even more blue cheese as this was excellent. The blue cheese I used had cranberries in it and it was perfect with the pork. Excellent sauce too. — bobo3039 Oct 3, 2009

Chinese Cinnamon Beef Noodle Soup

This is just so good, but it's pretty salty if you don't use low sodium soy sauce or broth! — bobo3039 Oct 1, 2009

Light Chicken Piccata With Linguine

Posted by PanNan

Although I enjoy the taste of lemon, this was a bit too acidic for me. I ended up adding a good deal more butter to the sauce so mine was no longer light. — bobo3039 Sep 28, 2009

" Ant" Kelly's London Broil Marinade

This is so incredibly flavorful! I don't much care for rosemary so just added a sprig rather than mincing it. It smelled and tasted wonderful! — bobo3039 Sep 20, 2009

Emeril's Three Cheese Risotto

Posted by Samantha in Ut

I loved the ease and taste of this risotto. I didn't stir constantly and it still turned out fine! I added a bit more of the cheeses than indicated because I love cheese. — bobo3039 Sep 14, 2009
