Lentil Soup for Students

Posted by tigrrboxer

I may have added too much vegetable stock, but it did seem a bit too salty and a bit bland. Not bad, next time I will try adjusting vegetable stock levels with water, and seeing what other spices I can put in. — H-grrl Dec 15, 2008

Turkey Giblet Gravy

(1 person found this helpful) Posted by Derf

Good recipe. The first time I made it I did make the mistake of adding maybe too many giblets. We had slaughtered our own turkey, and I was a bit excited about saving every giblet. It ended up tasting too much like organ meat. The second go... — H-grrl Dec 15, 2008

Crunchy Granola

Posted by ciao

It was good except I found the oats to be hard and dry at the end. It was okay with milk, but hurt my teeth on it's own. Next time I might try soaking the oats before cooking to see if I can get them a bit softer. — H-grrl Dec 15, 2008

Tuna Noodle Casserole

A wonderful and easy recipe! Hits the spot every time! Sometimes I like to add a little Cholula hot sauce for zing, but it's wonderful as is. Thanks! — H-grrl Dec 15, 2008

Delicious and most excellent! Instead of chicken broth we used vegetable broth, but it still turned out a dream! Thanks for this recipe, I can't wait to have it again. — H-grrl Dec 15, 2008

Too Easy Cheesy Chicken, Broccoli and Rice Casserole

Posted by TheDancingCook

While good, it does not have enough flavor as is. I had to doctor this up with some zesty cajun spices, and it also turned out somewhat dry. Next time I will follow other people's advice and use cream of broccoli soup to replace the water, and a... — H-grrl Dec 15, 2008

Uncle Bill's Vegetarian Minestrone Soup

Posted by William (Uncle Bill) Anatooskin

Granted, I did not follow this recipe to a "T", I did find it a little watery. I ended up adding garlic salt and Tabasco, which greatly improved the flavor of the soup. Next time I will take the advice from others and use a vegetable soup base.... — H-grrl Nov 13, 2008

I made this dough with the white pizza recipe and it was superb! I put a lot of oregano in the crust, with a generic Italian herb seasoning and it is now my favorite crust for any pizza! — H-grrl Jul 12, 2007
