German Chocolate Cake Squares

Posted by Bev

I only used the cake-part of the recipe & was dissapointed because it didn't rise as much as I would have liked. Overall the flavor was good though — KirstenSU04 Dec 7, 2007

Easy Homemade Mayonnaise

(4 people found this helpful) Posted by Angela Curtis

I wouldn't suggest using extra virgin olive oil because it has a much more over-powering flavor. Vegetable or canola oil makes a mayo that is much more palate pleasing. Thanks though — KirstenSU04 Nov 22, 2007

Minado's Perfect Sushi Rice

Posted by BirdyBaker

Thanks this worked great for my homemade sushi. I didn't have rice vinegar or mirin so I used white vinegar & white wine. I used another recipe's advice & heated the mixture to dissolve everything. It all worked fine ...tasted good & the rice... — KirstenSU04 Nov 1, 2007

Chunky White Chocolate-Raspberry Muffins

(1 person found this helpful) Posted by JamesDean'sGirl

Great recipe! I have made these a few times now & found that if you decrease the sugar a little they are still plenty sweet. I also use slightly less white chocolate chips & raspberries than called for because it lightens the batter slightly &... — KirstenSU04 Aug 30, 2007

Peach Melba Ice Cream

Posted by Lady of shallot

After I made this, I realized there was no call for the flour that you have listed in the ingredients. When are you supposed to add it. I must not have put it in because it never said to....but hey it still came out awesome — KirstenSU04 Aug 23, 2007

Blackberry Cobbler

(1 person found this helpful) Posted by ratherbeswimmin'

This is a great recipe. I like that you can add the amount of sugar to your tastes. I increased the entire recipe by 1.75 in order to fit a 9" by 11" pan. I used the lower amount of sugar with the berries & also added a small amount of sugar in... — KirstenSU04 Aug 10, 2007

The Ultimate Chocolate Brownie Muffins

I wasn't very impressed with these muffins. I have yet to find a chocolate-based muffin recipe that I really like. These were not as sweet as I was expecting & also they didnt rise up nice like I would have liked. I added some white chocolate... — KirstenSU04 Jun 24, 2007

New Orleans Double-chocolate Praline-fudge Cake

Posted by Dreamgoddess

Awesome cake! I doubled the recipe & used four 12" pans (since I didn't have 8"). I was kind of unsure about the cake at first because it didn't seem to rise very well....but once I put it all together it was fabulous. — KirstenSU04 Jun 24, 2007

Pecan Pie Muffins

Posted by sewcraftymom

Can I just say that these were not good at all.... I wanted a muffin with pecan pie flavor, but I didnt want to lose the muffin texture because of it. These muffins were so dense that they didnt rise or even fully cook in the middle. They were... — KirstenSU04 Jun 22, 2007

Vanilla-Scented Granola

Posted by Bev

This granola recipe was very tasty! I read previous reviews which say to use half butter & half oil....which I mistook to mean 1/2c. oil & 1/2c. butter lol. It came out very good anyway. I think I cooked it a little longer than it needed... — KirstenSU04 Jun 20, 2007

Chocolate Chip Muffins

(1 person found this helpful) Posted by RecipeNut

Probably the best chocolate chip muffins i've ever had. I added 1 tablespoon vanilla extract to the batter & sprinkled the tops with sugar before baking, but other than that I followed the recipe. They rose up nice & are light & sweet. Thanks KirstenSU04 Jun 16, 2007
