Sweet Repeat

Posted by Sassy in da South

Thanks for posting. For personal tastes I added 1/2 cup powdered sugar to the flour/pecan mixture; I used cooked vanilla pudding and added 1/2 t. vanilla to it. I also grated a toffee bar on top. Delicious! — Blondemensan Nov 14, 2009

Best Ever Banana Cake With Cream Cheese Frosting

Posted by Rhonda *J*

I added 1 teaspoon butter extract to both the cake and the frosting. This makes it even more delicious. Definitely make a day ahead-it is even better after it sits for a day. Everyone asked for the recipe! — Blondemensan Jun 4, 2009

Little Cheddar Meatloaves

Posted by shortstuff

Really tasty! I recommend using extra lean meat since there is a lot of oil left in the pan. I will use this recipe on a regular basis. — Blondemensan Sep 1, 2008

Beefy Tamale Pie

This was really good. Don't be afraid of adding too much liquid because it turns out fine. I substituted tomato juice for the water and added a little salt for our tastes. Great, easy, recipe! — Blondemensan Sep 1, 2008

Very rich and delicious. I added a chicken bouillion cube, salt and pepper, and a dash of garlic powder, used Bisquick for the flour, and sprinked cheddar cheese on top before serving. Yum. Next time I mad make a little more batter because I... — Blondemensan Jan 13, 2008

Sesame Broccoli, Really..it's Good!

Posted by kiwidutch

I'm not a big broccoli fan, so I was looking for something different. This is fresh and good-and my husband who likes broccoli loved it. I doubled the soy sauce. I buy "Aloha Shoyu" brand soy sauce from ebay-discovered it in Hawaii and now I... — Blondemensan Jul 26, 2007

Pesto "Fried" Chicken

Posted by canarygirl

Really moist. I took the advice given and marinaded the chicken in the pesto for a couple of hours, and added parmesan to the breading. I used about twice as much breading as the recipe called for. I will be making this again. — Blondemensan Jul 24, 2007

Pork Chops in Onion Sauce (Schweinekotelett in Zwiebelsosse)

(1 person found this helpful) Posted by Tebo

The sauce comes out very sweet, but good. Chops are very tender. I added rosemary and 2 cloves of garlic to the gravy, and I seasoned the chops with italian seasoning before breading. I may try less onion next time, and/or dark beer, to cut back... — Blondemensan Jul 24, 2007

Greek Pasta Salad

Awesome salad-I have been eating it all day! I omitted the red pepper and green onion (though I may try them next time, used salami and pepperoni instead of all pepperoni, then used provolone, shredded parmesean and feta instead of just feta for... — Blondemensan Jul 18, 2007

Cheddar Bar-B-Q Chicken Breasts!!!

My hubby asked me to make this and I expected to not like it because I thought the BBQ sauce would be overpowereing, but it was really very good. I seasoned the chicken with salt and pepper, garlic powder, italian seasoning, savory and thyme... — Blondemensan Jul 18, 2007

Chicken Noodle Soup

(2 people found this helpful) Posted by MizzNezz

Really, good. I added a little cream and a tablespoon of lemon juice right before serving. I would omit the potato or the noodles next time, I just don't like both of them together. I had to cook it a lot longer to get the carrots and celery to... — Blondemensan Jul 18, 2007

Peach Crisp

(1 person found this helpful) Posted by M&Mers

Disappointing. In spite of following the recipe exactly, I did not find the topping crunchy at all, even though I drained the peaches. I didn't think it was sweet enough, either. If I made this again, I would add more brown sugar, omit the... — Blondemensan Jul 12, 2007

Really easy and delicious-I don't like dishes that are too spicy, and it was just right. I used bacon drippings instead of vegetable oil, and I added a can of diced tomatoes. — Blondemensan Apr 15, 2007
